Said it last week and I've said it before. Agger isn't as good as people make him out to be. They call for Carra to be dropped, for Skrtel to be replaced and Coates to be sold but Agger is awful on set pieces and pretty average overall. He's very good at bringing the ball out of defence...but always shoots from 40yards and misses.
And last season. As long as we address it this summer, then I won't have to drive to anybody's house and slap the ****ing taste out of their mouth. WBA are a bit of a bogey team for us.
There's not a a member of our entire defence & keeper comes close to that description. Reina wandering out for no reason there again: not that it would have mattered anyway. But to be fair I've seen more encouragement at a morgue. And that was from the 20th minute. Is this the second team on a nosedive we've gave a confidence boost to? Agger, beaten way too easily for both goals and Pepe should have done better with that shot, went straight at him and just missed it. Whole back 4 have been poor today, with the exception of Carragher maybe. Enrique & Johnson have been terrible going forward, Gerrard apart from a few decent passes hasn't been good. The fact Downing has been the most effective player yet got subbed off pretty much sums up the day.
any team that sits behind the ball is a bogey team for us. We're a ****ing slow team and we're damn predictable, u could see west brom reshuffling their defence with ease as we 'tiki-takad' in front of them.
Well thats it. What a poor result. Too many poor results this year. Its one thing to be well and truly beaten, but to dominate a game only to lose (looks like 2-0) is just shocking. Along with throwing away potentially good wins, Man City twice.
