It's also better to win one and lose one, rather than draw two. Don't always agree with this guy, but It's pretty hard to argue against what he's saying here: http://www.carrowroad.net/cnews/index.php?post=uninspiring-clueless
Stay cool guys - you'll be fine this season and collect the big $$$ kitty to set you up for next season. It's a form thing. We (Fulham) were top6 form for the first third of the season; bottom 6 for the middle third; and let's see what happens next. I think both our teams will finish in the 8-13 middle batch
Mick Dennis is on talkSHITE right now, he found it hard to criticise Rodent until he'd virtually crippled our club. I wonder what his take will be on yesterday's performance?
What worries me is the fact Reading, Saints and to a point Villa are upping there game , they are all managing to get the ball in the net, something we are not managing ! It is vital this changes soon or we WILL get caught !
If it is not option 2 what is the point? On that basis of 1 we stay up - fine! But then next season doesn't get better does it. We have to play Everton, West Brom, Swansea, Southampton, Villa and Reading at home. Currently we are on 29 and need three wins to get to 38 with a draw at home and an away point for the magical 40. Who can see the three wins? I have to admit to be being concerned on all fronts, oh and by the way, the binners look dodgy too.
Goals scored in the last six games: Reading 11; Aston Villa 10; Southampton 9; Norwich 2. An ominous trend
, On the bright side, weren't both villa goals set pieces? A pen and a free kick When the fcuk are we going to get a pen? Surely we will get one before may Oh to think 2 seasons ago we were the late goal specialists in the championship
It's not the end of the world. Another clean sheet against a side that's become a bit of a bogey team for us including putting 5 past us on day 1. We'll be roight bor. My issue is imagine what the slating on here would have been like if we'd lost by a goal. We could have just as easily clinched it by a goal ourselves too. Fine line in this game.
On current form, it seems likely we will be dragged into it. Worryingly, all the teams down there look capable of picking up points. However, one win would make our form look much more positive and we've seen our points coming from the most unexpected games so I wouldn't spend too much time analysing the fixture list. Hopefully Kamara will continue to look lively and will bag a hatful of goals before anyone has the chance to coach his naive attacking instincts out of him
I think the panic is unwarranted.Quite apart from the teams below us there are sides like West Ham who are on a worse run than us.I cannot see fewer than nine points from now on so 38.That will be more than enough.
Has to be option 1 all day long, come the end of the season our debt will be paid up, so come the summer we can buy the players we need - so have faith guys.................we will stay up.
I honestly can't believe that 20% of voters would actually prefer us to go down. I can't do these forums anymore.
20% didn't say they would prefer to go down though, did they. You've twisted that somewhat. We were deliberately not given (as Robbie states in his OP) the choice of playing positive football AND staying up, because we'd all want that of course.
West Ham have the same number of points from the last 6 matches and more from the last 8. I agree there is no need to panic but anyone looking for comfort will struggle to find it in the form table.
