Do you think maybe a change in tactics awy from home against the lower half teams. Play a more attacking side as we did yeterday and go after sides a little more. instead of sitting deep and hoping for a goal on the counter.
For me Davies was at fault for the goal. There are times to pass it and times not to and this has to be recognised. The idiocy of trying to pass the ball in any circumstances just doesn't work. The top sides don't do it so why should we? I think that maybe Vorm is being hard done by. That shot should never have been coming at him and the replay from behind the goal seemed to show him at full stretch doing well just to get a hand to the ball, let alone choose where to divert it to. I may be wrong but that was my perception on one viewing. I expected a far tougher game but QPR were pants if I'm honest and we played really well. A few mistakes all over the pitch but generally a very good performance. Well done, the lads.
A friend of mine who went up reckoned Laudrup got it a little bit wrong at West Ham, on reflection he maybe wasnt far from the truth. Going after teams asks them questions and can put the breaks on them a little bit and no doubt that helps us sometimes. I think Laudrup maybe thought playing on the break was a smart move, but i think that sometimes we will have games where our players are not quite at it mentally, for what ever reason. If our players could perform 100% in every single game and carry out the tactics perfect in every game they would be playing for Man utd not Swansea so its not beyonfd the realms of posibility to think that sometimes for whatever reason there is a drop off in performance by a few players and they fail to operate at 100% though they may be trying too. When we are on our game we are very very good. Sometimes we play below par and that is reflected in our league position, if we could maintain that high mental capacity for longer then the team would be top 6 now. points were thrown away against Norwich,Reading,Villa and sunderland to naame a few.

I think the blame lies with Vorm but Davies isnt innocent either. Vorm hasnt made basic errors like he has this season,he should have dealt with that shot more easily, there is a comparison with a keepers size that tells us a bigger keeper would maybe have held it? trouble is Vorm is normally so fast he makes up for it and im suprised he was sloppy and pushed it straight out. If a goal keeper pushes the ball straight out then he is not doing his job properly, just like defenders header away from the danger area keepers push the ball away from the danger area,he failed to do that. The problem with Vorm is that we expect such a high standard from him, we all have let him get away with a few dodgy ones this season,he has earnt that level of respect, but all things considered i think he will be first to admit he got that one wrong on saturday
Good read, Norway. It was two major errors that led to the QPR goal. Ben Davies with the first, Vorm with the second. You can't blame it entirely on either of them. I think this is the first major error by Ben and that's quite remarkable. Dyer had his best game in ages. Nice to see him actually try to play again. I don't think he has coped very well with the benchsitting but his finally getting better again. As for the second central defender I think Bartley should be used as much as possible. However, Monk is destined for the final. Monk has the experience and the calm to play the final. He has played against similar teams before and know what to expect. There was only one thing I missed in yesterdays match. We should have had a young player on the bench that could have gotten a few minutes towards the end of the match..
Im hoping that we can blood a couple toward the end of the season if we are safe, problem with that is that the players could miss out on prize money if Laudrup experiments too much !! Monk will be especially up for the final if picked, bartley has it in his future but this could be monks last big game and im sure he will be busting a gut in training to make selection. Laudrup will pick what he feels is the best team to win, if that includes bartley then im good with that. In a final anything can happen,as we saw with Liverpool last season so i hope Laudrup pays the correct attention to it which im sure he will.
If he picks Bartley to start I reckon Monk will get subbed on as a thank you. Really looking forward to the game I can't sleep!
true KJ, was watching dyer closely last 20 minutes, would lose the ball and not even chase back, then at the final whistle he basically fell over trying to get a foul, match fit?? needs more park time i think however having said that why give him more time if he is going to be lazy in the latter third of the game, catch 22 imo
I'd like to see Rory Donelly get a little game time, just to see what the lad can do after all he did come with a few clubs interested in him. So would like to see what the lad can do.
