I only mentioned it, as Thor said he was slightly put off and got the impression a few others might be hesitant to praise Lloris due to how one poster acts.
Bale on Bale: "I need to work on my finishing." Hart's having a bit of a mare this season, for me. England Keeper Syndrome strikes again.
I got that Boss I think we have not said a lot about Lloris on here because he is just very good at his job. To echo SoS yes he is probably the most important signing we have made this season. He makes us a lot harder to beat and that is priceless.
Hey please don't misunderstand. I was thinking after the match that Brad must never replace Lloris in important matches, that he not Brad is the future. I love Lloris but I'm fed up with a certain poster's conceit.
Credit to Dempsey for putting in a big shift in a position he's probably not particularly enjoying filling as well, especially after the week of travel he's had. There's been criticism of him on here, some of it justified, but his effort and commitment has never been in doubt. Every squad needs players of his ilk, perhaps not to play the prominent role he has done so far, but his type is needed for success as he'll always give 100% it seems. Ade might not have been truly effective as we would have hoped but he provides a focal point for the attack to build around in a way Dempsey doesn't. Looking back now it was a better performance than I personally realised at the time, and Bale was of course outstanding. Signs are still encouraging.
Well done today. Thought we were good for that point until Gouffran went off. Happily he's not broken anything so should be back in time for our next prem game... Gotta take something positive from the day! Assuming we don't get relegated - until next season <tip of the hat>
Your goal was a deflection,I doubt if the original trajectory would have beaten Lloris so 2-0 would be the right and fair result.
Completely disagree and what does spurcat know about goalkeeping - i've shown him up big time over Lloris- or is he now pretending he rated him all along - hilarious if so. i was right - loads of people on here and elsewhere were wrong - and i love it
Ghoddle, will you stop being so effing conceited and give your opinions on Lloris a rest,I'm sick of it. Change the damned tune will you.
Lloris performances are as much to do with the way he was introduced into the team, got to know his defence on the training pitches first, building confidence and rapport, and not thrown in like De Gea for example, who suffered a torrid start, so well done to the goalkeeping staff. Only a buffoon with less goalkeeping knowledge than Dot Cotton is unable to see this.
You may want to look up the word "completely" and then read the meaning, as if you completely disagree with my post then you're disagreeing with: A - Spurcat praising Lloris (a point you should agree with, considering you're such a huge fan of Lloris). & B - Me stating we're luckily to have such a talented keeper. Possibly edit your post to read " I partially disagree", would make more sense, although I suspect you have an issue with anything spurcat says, which is rather pathetic.
On current form, Lloris probably is as good as any keeper in the PL. However, I think some of that is down to the general inconsistency among PL keepers this season. As an example, look at Cesar, he played an absolute blinder against us - yesterday he had a mare. As has been said, the other "top" keepers, such as Cech and Hart have been the same.
. What a load of old tosh. Still it made me laugh, although not as much as when you said on the old 606 you would stop following Spurs if Redknapp continued to pick Bale. That really was one of your all time classics.
Reading back through this thread and I haven't seen this mentioned, but a very well done to all our squad for wearing tops in the warm up bearing a message of support for Tony Parks' son who remains in a critical condition following a car crash. I didn't see AVB's post match interview but I was told he was wearing one of these tops. Well done Spurs .
At least yesterday's result was in sync with our other results which gives me hope. Last year against Newcastle we walloped them 5-0 which was a result totally out of balance with the others before and after it. It was a flash amongst a lot of ground out one goal wins which concerned me. It also concerned me why we only scored one in the second half. It was results like that which made me think that we wouldn't make the CL because it was inconsistent with the rest but yesterday was a ground out hard fought one goal win which is consistent. We just need those blasted strikers to perform and the CL is a cinch this season. Let's just get that season defining win as happens to a lot of teams. The match Chelsea V City will tell us a lot. City will be a sterner test than Wigan and Chelsea a sterner test than Saints who were fortunate yesterday. They cannot claim any of their own effort for the third goal.I'm expecting a scrappy rubbish match with both teams scared to commit. If I am wrong and one team thrashes the other then the loser is in for a torrid end of season. All we need to do is go along quietly and get a good win against Wet Spam.
Yeah, that had slipped my mind, to be honest. It was great to see the club making an effort to show support for Parks and his whole family.
