Elmo Brady and Chester for me. Have to say for those going for Meyler, think he is so clumsy, he was never gonna play for the mackems. Desperately need to play two up top, Simpson and koren Will never get us more than maybe one a game. Just so toothless up front.

Mcshane, Paul Mcshane, how, why, where. Comparing him to Chester isn't fair but Chester was in a different league yet again tonight, just annoys me when Mcshane gets all this praise.

    1. Elmo
    2. Brady
    3. Quinn

If we had a proper striker we would be in the top two easily, the balls we get in are brilliant, and Quinn's movement was top class as usual. Bruce please sign a striker, please.

for the time being, at least play Proschwich and sign Boyd. Both would have made a difference tonight from the start

Agree with second part, first part i am still unsure, i just don't think its a coincidence as soon as Prossy's on the balls don't get there.

However Boyd would make a huge difference, he runs at people, holds onto the ball and is just a class act.

I actually thought we played okay. I can only think of the Orlandi chance that they created.

    McShane
    Elmo
    Simpson

Why did he make a double sub when he brought Gedo on? Proschwitz was a dead loss as usual. I'd have liked to see Gedo playing with Simpson who can at least hold the ball up and bring other players in.

Meyler's miss was awful - he had time to trap and shoot, not lash it woefully. And as he's one of the few in the team able to look menacing with attacking headers, why did he take that corner?

Elmo played v well and with that volley showed Meyler how it should be done.

Funny how people see things so different, meyler wasted 2 key chances the volley and in another break we where 4 on 3 and he passed it straight to there defender ... Got to agree with the people saying we only looked any danger from wide again, cannot wait for alukos return ... Quinn did well I thought , the only midfielder who did but never going to be a massive goal threat ... 1) Elmo 2) Quinn 3) Brady

I'd give it to Elmo or Brady.

It's a toss up between them two.

Unfortunately, without an inform striker on the pitch we lack any cutting edge upfront and their crosses into the middle go wasted. No wonder they tried to win the match themselves.

    Brady
    Elmo
    Quinn

Not me. He's been quiet in some games, but he's been good in more than he's not.

And he's our second highest goal scorer!

Quinn and mcshane where the only 2 players to show any passion. alex bruce looked like a pub player and the team looked like a pub team until he went off.

The free kick leading to their goal was Evans on the edge of the box, if Bruce had been on that wouldn't have been a free kick. He proved in getting injured he knows how to time desperately needed challenges.

Not been impressed recently, but how much of that is down to him being played as a striker?

Presumably because someone had to take it and no one else looked like volunteering. Pretty **** really that no one seemed to want it.

Shocked by how many people have picked Brady. I thought he was pretty **** and would be in my top 3 underperformers!

    1. Elmo
    2. McShane
    3. Possibly Chester. It's tough to pick 3 who played at or above their potential.

Having said all this I didn't have a brilliant view (row D!) so I'm sure I missed a lot that people watching on telly got a better view of.

Yes I'm actually giving McShane a vote. I was pissed off at everyone apart from the back 3 and wing backs today. Elmo would have been in there but late on he started trying to cut inside which was stupid. I don't know why we don't try and stretch teams a bit instead of just all piling into the middle when we counter. All 4 attackers that played might as well have stayed at home. Meyler is just a better version of Evans it seems, he still can't pass a ****ing ball. We need to be playing one of these two not both. Meyler should be the defensive one and then play with two proper footballers in midfield so we might actually create something now and then. George Boyd would be lovely.
