I really want to praise our players today. They were all fantastic, but here goes: Boruc - 8 - good save and looked commanding in the box Clyne - 8 - worked hard going forward and looked dangerous with Punch especially 1st half Yoshida - 9 - I honestly don't think he could have done much more right. He was absolutely solid. Heroic display. Hooiveld - 8 - also very solid Fox - 7 - did nothing wrong defensively but gave the ball away a few times going forwards. Thought he was much improved today though to be fair Schneiderlin - 8 - won most of the midfield 50 50s and got some great interceptions in. Cork - 10 MOTM - was absolutely everywhere. Won everything. Passing was spot on. His shot was way over the bar but the way he owned the midfield means I don't give a single ****. He made Yaya look like a lost five year old. Puncheon - 7 - well taken goal and worked hard but for me didn't look as noticeable as others Davis - 9 - best game he's played in a saints shirt. Well placed for the goal and worked so hard going forward to support Rickie and Jay. Rodriguez - 7 - his pace is valuable to us and he made some good runs but he also likes to give away needless free kicks. Lambert - 9 - I don't even need to say anything here, the man is incredible.
Hooiveld did more than Yoshida for me, though both were excellent, and Rodriguez deserves an 8, but otherwise spot on. Boruc had so little to do an 8 seems generous though!
Jay Rod was given MoM by sky! no need for rankings, they were all exceptional, bar Davis and Fox's awful corner!
Cork was again exceptional tonight, he stood out among some really class performances. How much did we pay Chelsea for him again?
Cork, Spiderman and Lambert were awesome (though with those three it's starting to become expected!), the three that I was impressed with though was JRod, Davis and Hooiveld. Think they have improved massively in the last month or two.
The whole squad - including the non used subs - 10! We just beat the Premier League Champions...no THRASHED them, so 10 to all including all at St Mary's!

Cork was quite simply sensational tonight. He and Morgan had a hell of a job on their hands and handled it brilliantly.
Fantastic. Can't believe people only giving Fox and Jayrod a 7. They were all excellent. Maybe some need reminding that City are current league champions.
