I know i'm gonna get shot down by saying this but i actually agree with DT. Our run in after Man U looks a better prospect to grab some points and with a little bit of luck we COULD still get out of this. Of course it aint gonna be easy and the chances of it happening is getting slimmer and slimmer with each week.....BUT i'll still believe we can do it until it's a mathmatical impossiblility. I had a strange feeling about this game. Wasn't confident about getting anything from the match. Only consolation is that every other team around us bar Southampton lost! So nothing changes. Something has got to click for us soon surely?! Here's hoping!

With all due respect mate, its not about how many points there are for grabs till the end of the season, its about our current teams ability to capture those points. Unfortunetley they dont have the ability.....you have been harping on with the same tune that its not over all season and to date we have yet to close the gap or move off the bottom. We are doomed this season im afraid......but lets hope we can do well in the NPC and come back a lot better.
Well Staines, hope the body is good mate. I understand the maths Staines. I know we are not mathematically fooked just yet. What I can't agree with is the continued blind statements that we will be fine without backing it up with actual facts other than we still have enough games left. We have won 2 games all season. FFS 2 games. We are pinned in our half by every team we play and we simply have no creativity. If we were playing well and creating chances I'd still have some hope. But we're not. Putting 11 players behind the ball for 90 minutes against every team we play is not what I call football. We can't score enough goals to beat anybody and as I keep saying there are NO easy matches in the Prem except against us. Last year I believed we would stay up. I was ridiculed by some on here for having 'blind loyalty'. This year I have no hope left because we are not playing well enough.
After United we have a run of five matches that we can win. With Zamora back, Remy fit etc we will have an attacking force. We need a change of luck too. Look at today, first goal a save that falls to Michu and he flukes it into the net, the second a save that rebounds straight to Rangel, the third a cross that somehow eluded Caesar. At the other end we have a stonewall penalty not given (not for the first time this season, though Tarbs would probably have missed it) that could have got it back to 3-2 and made for a grandstand finish. I agree that we are not looking good. The saddest thing is when you look at what Swansea have achieved compared to us. They came up with us when we comfortably won the Championship. How fortunes have changed. Sadly we are going to places like the Liberty looking for a point when what we need is three. No point in defending again next weekend Arry as we wont keep a clean sheet. Most importantly we need to get behind our team like we did when in this situation last season!
Sadly, something has changed, we are now one of four teams chasing 17th place. Saints have shown they are more than good enough to stay up...
I'm with eustace on this one. Some of the negativity you lot spout is dragging us down.Swansea are a good team and getting anything today would have been tough. If we get Remy back and Samba a bit fitter we can beat United! If villa lose tomorrow, status quo.cheer up and believe.
Even if we were 6 points better off, wed still have a 75% chance of going down. We are 99% down, we have to hope we hit great form and none of the 3 above us hit mid table form.
Actually a minority of two. I fully expected to lose today but I expected abetter performance. I expect to lose next week too. I'll express it less emotively than DT but I agree with him. The loss today was expected together with losses for Wigan and Reading. The fly in the ointment is Southampton and we need Villa to lose tomorrow. There may be factors we are unaware of and there still is time (just) for matters to improve further. So, there is no need for insults or getting hot tempered. I learnt last year to believe until it is a certainty that we are down. We are not there yet, ergo I still believe. Samba will get fitter, Remy will be back. Harry will have learnt from today as much as he learnt from our little unbeaten run. It is not over - yet.
