Sat in a restaraunt typing this. TRain doesn't come til 7.

Fantastic away support again. Great day out. We deserved a point but two mistakes cost us.

We were fortunate with the finish, but the build up play for the goal was class. Another goal that involved Sissoko!

    Ratings -

Krul - 7 - couldn't really do anything about the goals. He made some great saves late on.

Debuchy - 6.5 - Not bad but caught out by Bale quite a bit.

Colo - 5 - two mistakes - two goals. Not very good.

    Saylor - 7.5 - good performance.

Santon - 6 - ridiculous mistakes and poor decisions at times. But he got forward well and offered us a route forward.

Perch - 7.5 - great challenges and defensive work.

Cabaye - 7.5 - great game. Good defensive work and orgasmic passing.

    Jonas - 6.5 - decent shift.

    Gouff - 7.5 - :( hope he's ok.Fantastic work rate and good performance.

Sissoko - 7 - heavily involved in build up play, but the bloke is exhausted. I suggest we stop expecting the lad to play 90 mins every game, or else he'll get injured.

Cisse - 5.5 - was a passenger at times, but good team work and link up play. Nice little passes.

    Marv - 6 - decent sub app.

Tiote - 4 - ffs. I wish he'd get it into his head that he's just a ball winner, not a ball player.

MOTM - Cabaye. Great in defense and beautiful passing.

Bad day at the office, at least we know who our Jonah is now.

Not fancy staying down in Landan Tash? Plenty of high paid jobs there for a bright youngster like yourself.

The second went straight through his legs. Thought he could have done better IMHO.

Some very good performances and I thought we played well for long periods up until Gouffran went off.

Perch was excellent again bar the free kick until he got a knock, and fully justified his selection. Saylor aside from getting too tight on Adebayor for the second was good, made loads of blocks. Colo played well but gave the free kick away. 2nd I fully understand his reluctance to wipe Bale and sacrifice himself.

Santon was a bit more restrained but got caught a few times but no where near as much as previous games. Lad is just struggling and needs a break at some stage. Cisse was very good all round, should have scored that header though. Cabaye was good again. Sissoko showed himself to be human but still got an assist and did well in spells. Debuchy was very good and is improving game by game. Krul should have stopped the 2nd but overall did ok. Marveaux was very disappointing and confirmed he is no good wide. Jonas did well in spells and looks more like his old self. The Gouf was very good before he went off and Tiote played well on his return.

    Krul 6
    Debuchy 7
    Santon 5
    Colo 6.5
    Saylor 7.5
    Perch 8
    Cabaye 7
    Sissoko 6.5
    Jonas 6.5
    Gouffran 7.5
    Cisse 7

    Marveaux 5
    Tiote 7

Perch was excellent again bar the free kick...... But it was Sissoko who clearly told the wall not to jump, he must have felt that Bale was going to thump the ball low. Jonas did jump, don't know if he realized it was going over the top, or simply was not on then same wavelength as the rest of the wall ? Lol so can't be to huffy with Perchy, mind you, if he had jumped chances are he would have cleared it !
When AVB brought Adebayor on to change the shape and add an extra dimension to the attack, it did highlight our limited options up front, Shola coming on really isntngoing to strike fear into the hearts of anyndefence, bar the Mackems possibly. All said the team are vastly improved and if they continue like this, we will be fine.

I know what you mean, but can't offer any insight into why he is off the boil at the moment. Some of his recent chances he would have buried last season. Perhaps he still isn't getting the type of service he needs? Long balls he has tontake with his back to goal is not what he does well, unlike BA who could win them and turn the defender, that said Cisse seems a bit slow at times and is not reading the game quickly enough. Hopefully that will change as he developes a better understanding with both Sissoko and Gouffran.

I wouldn't be surprised if we bring a new first choice striker in the summer and moved Cisse on the summer after.

I really like him and he seems a really decent, genuine guy, but he needs to find some better form. The problem is that there is no real competition for his place. Now l am not saying that Cisse is complacent, but he knows there is no one else to push him, therefore he needs to find the motivation from within himself. We have seen how motivated some of the others have become since the new guys arrived.
Personally l hope hen finds form and gets his confidence up and running or he will become the weak link and vulnerable to being replaced.

not to dissapointed .. hate it when we defend to high ..( our junior team does this aswell) and are a suker to the long ball and pace.

colo at fault im afraid .

new lads did ok . it was a tough one but hey we are catching spurs .

we done alright ..if ben arfa was there and little marveaux who i think is better through the middle . to start

    we be okay ..

am i the only one to think jonas is weak for a big bloke ..hes never off his arse.

    In what way? <laugh>

Just an honest assessment, I thought we played today. Simply ran into a good side with a special player. We handled him well in the main but once he went over to the right and centre we struggled. Clever switch by AVB. I just wonder how we'd have fared if Gouffran hadn't have gone off. We were doing well but it seemed to rock us and Marveaux was extremely quiet.

Gouff going off was definitely the turning point - we lost all momentum after that, probably because we lost the workrate and closing down up the pitch that he gave us this week (and last against Chelsea) noticeable that Dembele looked much better going forward for them when Gouff went off

Quite pleased with the performance today apart from the shocking defending by Collocini, Perch and Taylor for the second goal. I would have been happy with one point from the last two games.

Couldn't blame Perch for 2nd goal as he was hobbling from a nasty challenge just moments before. Taken off within minutes of goal.

I just couldn't see any reason for Saylor getting tight to Adebayor. Shame because otherwise he had an excellent game. Colo could have gone in harder but he'd probably got his marching orders. I too wouldn't blame Perch. I think Krul should not have beaten from that angle either.
