All neutral football fans should want QPR to be relegated
4 hours ago by James Kent

I understand that Queens Park Rangers see themselves in a desperate situation and think they had no choice but to add to the squad in the January transfer window. However, the way that club is run is remarkably irresponsible, and it is evidence that throwing money at the problem isn’t always the answer.
QPR would have been hoping for all three points in the recent game against Norwich City, but the game finished 0-0. An extremely frustrating result for the home supporters given that they also missed a penalty in the match. Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that Norwich had some excellent chances of their own and should, perhaps, have had their own spot kick near the end.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the new signings have added a huge amount to the current squad. The team is still looking disjointed, and Harry Redknapp can’t have many hopes of getting the wins required to stay in the Premier League.
The Canaries on the other hand will be very happy with the place they are in the table, and to maintain that seven point gap over the relegation zone. I think we all know that Queens Park Rangers are putting everything on the line to stay in the league. The general consensus seems to be that it will be okay if they stay up. But administration may beckon if they do drop down that back door to the Championship.
We know from experience that once that happens it can be very difficult to return. There are certainly some quality players in that squad now, but that is no guarantee of success. What it comes down to is if Redknapp can get them to play as a team to get results. Of course, it’s never nice to see a professional sports team get into financial strive. But in this case, they have caused the problem all by themselves. I know this seems harsh, but I won’t have any sympathy for them if they do get relegated and face administration.
Furthermore, I don’t think any neutral football fan should either. This gross spending in the Premier League is certainly a problem, and it’s not how a football squad should be developed. It is bad enough to see it at the top end of the league, but to see it at the bottom is a far more serious problem.
I’m not against teams taking risks to some degree, and there is no doubt that it is necessary to bring a certain level of quality in. This is especially true in the second season once the Championship momentum has gone. However, QPR have gone well beyond reasonable investment and into the realms of reckless financial behaviour.
It’s also fair to say that a lot of their signings are only really there for the money and aren’t interested in playing for the club. Although, I understand the club’s desperation to some degree, I honestly think the worse thing will happen.
However, the bigger picture is this might be a good thing for Premier League football, because it may act as a deterrent to ensure other football clubs manage their affairs more sensibly. Relegation would be a big wake-up call for QPR and might encourage them to get their house in order.
It also offers some insight to the situation on rich owners and if that really benefits the club. It’s somewhat ironic that they have spent all this money, but still feel the need to keep spending to keep their place in the league, while others like Norwich and Swansea City have progressed within the league with much more modest investment.

Another moron who has not bothered to do his research properly.

The issue of administration has been dealt with completely by the club and I believe the statement.

As to not adding to the squad, one of the stupidest, most ignorant and I'll thought out comments to disgrace this board. Away goal to West Ham and Chris 'man mountain' Samba's display against Norwich were enough to start with.

In the inimitable style of Winston Churchill; we may well be relegated, James, but come that day you will still be an asshole.

A little bit of context for you!

Sounds like a sad little Norwich boy who spends all his time on his PC. Get a life laddy, and if you are going to write and have dreams of being a good writer, CHECK YOUR FACTS. Try to write objectively and not just rubbish that reflects your own petty prejudices.

On his basis, all neutral fans would not want Manchester City or Chelsea to win to PL title either, as they have too have rich benefactors that have changed the playing field in recent years, effectively buying the silverware.

Move down the leagues and there is no doubt resentment of Leceister, Crawley etc.

Blimey. It really takes very little to wind you lot up. It's alright for us to express the same points (which are worrying to say the least) and then when a "neutral" or even someone from Norwich with an axe to grind says the same things, outrage and disgust.

Can someone tell me clearly which facts are wrong in this so-called ill informed poorly researched piece and which opinions are not fair comment?

It's no wonder fans of other clubs dislke us with a passion if we're spoiling for a fight all the time.

Apologies if this offends anyone but I feel a bit of a saddo spending a bit of time on this board every day. But this bloke with his 'significant presence on Facebook and twitter' and 'six years as an 'online content wirter' should be a warning to us all. Ability to operate a computer makes no one an even vaguely talented writer and makes social inadequacies more profound, not better. And in his case it seems to have enhanced his ignorance and arrogance glands as well.

Its all too easy to get your pathetic little opinions in the public sphere these days. No need to jump the hurdle of writing something, getting it printed and then distributing it or selling it if you can't afford to self finance your own vanity. Read some of the pamphlets produced during the Civil War - some insane stuff but then reflect on the passion and conviction needed to get these views out there. James Kent would not know passion and conviction if they set fire to his Norwich City underpants.

I am social inadequate. And I'd tell anyone that to their face if I ever mixed in any circles.

It's called being passionate about the club one supports.

The club have made it clear that they have allowed for relegation in their spending plans, whilst clearly investing in a plan to survive. May I refer you to Phil Beard's recent statement on the subject?

For the nth time how can we go into administration with no debt?? No one has a charge over the clubs assets. FFS!! Our biggest risk is running out of cash, so the directors keep pumping in more cash or we sell assets (players). Either way we'll be fine.

Here we have a SMUG Norwich City supporter. No one is arguing that Norwich and Swansea aren't well run clubs at the moment. The fact that they both had their successful managers poached between seasons and still appear to be coming out on top is creditable. But where this guy is wrong is to say our management is irresponsible - inexperienced, perhaps, but learning fast. Of course our management have to give it their all to stay on the Prem. The odds are against but it's by no means a lost cause. What Harry is saying is that he's used the money allocated well, and has bought in assets like Samba that will keep their value or accrue should we be relegated and need to cash in.

Our owners may not be the most worldly individuals in football circles, but they are proven successful businessmen and not fly-by-nights. We may be relegated, and have to rebuild in the Championship. But as to James Kent wishing us into administration and encouraging fans from other clubs to join him in that wish - he'll be disappointed. And if we keep Harry, we can bounce back up...and may be we'll pass Norwich and Mr Kent on their way down...

My point with all this stuff is that you can write what you want...

The Morris Minor is a British economy car that debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show, London, on 20 September 1948.[3] Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, more than 1.3 million were manufactured between 1948 and 1972. Initially available as a 2-door saloon and tourer (convertible), the range was subsequently expanded to include a 4-door saloon in 1950, and in 1952 a wood-framed estate (the Traveller), panel van and pick-up truck variants.

Norwich City a club in Crisis? . Delia caught on camera in erotic threesome with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstal and the dead body of Fanny Craddock

    Preparation:

How to make the perfect relish for your horse burger:

First of all put all the spices into an empty frying pan then, over a medium heat, warm them through to draw out their flavour – the aroma will tell you when this is happening. Then scrape them all into a mortar and crush them to a powder.

Now add the oil to the pan and when it's hot add the onion and pepper together with the garlic and ginger. Let these cook together for 5 minutes.

After that stir in the mushroom and carrot along with the rest of the spices and continue to cook for a further 5 minutes. Then add the lentils and tomatoes, and stir well to break up the tomatoes and mix everything together.

Season well with salt and pepper, then cover the pan and let the whole lot simmer gently for 10 minutes.

After that remove the lid and let the sauce bubble and reduce for a further 3-5 minutes. Then stir in the yoghurt, let it warm through, then serve straightaway.
