For his skill, I'd take him back in a heartbeat, especially if he sacked his old agent as that would definitely help too.
I'm sure we'd embrace him in time to be a hero again and it'd be like he never left.
I don't blame him for leaving when he did, we were on a spiral to oblivion after Keegan left and prior to that we had been on the decline for a few years anyway. At least he nailed his colours to the mast, unlike a few other players.
I mean it was heartbreaking as a fan seeing the club go from CL with Bobby to relegation in just a few short years and he'd experienced all of that with us; when he joined he probably thought he was at a top 4 team for some time and playing second fiddle to Duff or out of position in a relegation threatened team probably wasn't the best for him wanting to stay, culminating in the "insomnia" incident. Still perplexed as to why he left for Wigan, probably just wanted to be at any club but ours at the time.

  2. It all depends on how you look at it, do you really think that Nzogbia was worse than Barton used to be or Ranger now?

Our club can reform a character, and Joey and Kevin will kick his arse into shape. It'll take more than one player to bring us down.

Ranger is probably worse than Nzogbia, yet we keep him because of his talent, and he seems to be improving.

I'd have Nzogbia, but he'd have to be belted into shape, and i'd only have him for about 4 million.

Quite an understatement there, Zogs seems to have been fine since he went to Wigan whereas Ranger is in the headlines every other week despite being only a fringe player.

There's no doubt that Zogs has been a model professional at Wigan, despite a move away collapsing at the last minute last season he's stuck in and played out of his skin.

Wouldn't want Rodellega, never been a consistent goal scorer. Fair enough he plays for Wigan, but if he had real talent he'd stand out a lot more than he does currently. Plus he's almost 26 so he'll just be reaching his peak currently.

Probably a reality check for him really. Thought he'd leave Newcastle to see dizzy heights but realised his attitude left him no higher. I'd be happy to see him back simply because if our club spirit could turn around the players it has in the last two years, I don't see why it couldn't find space for a lad who seems to have found humility at Wigan.

Juve are also linked with him. Rumoured £10 million is the asking price.

Just looking for Wigan to get relegated now and then he will be sure to go. May get him cheaper as well.

I'd take N'Zogbia back. I don't think he'd upset the spirit of the group either, Nolan, Barton etc would keep him in line this time.

Wouldn't take Rodallega though, apart from one or two quality strikes a season he doesn't offer much else.

    This. <ok>

Rodallega on his day can be class but he's very inconsistent, but I'll take him at the RIGHT price(especially if Wigan get relegated).

10m for both, if they get relegated? Add Perch in exchange as well.

Wouldn't mind him and Victor Moses. But aslong as he doesn't go to Sunderham i'll be happy.

I'd be happy with him or Kranjcar...need some more players who can break down teams if they park the bus!!

Would prefer Kranjcar. There's a very easy way of determining whether N'Zogbia would harm morale, Pardew could just ask the players (most of whom were here when Zog was) "listen lads, we're thinking of bidding for N'Zogbia, what's your honest opinion of him off the pitch?"

    Thinking of it....

    New Striker

    HBA

    N'Zogbia Tiote Nolan Barton

.....not bad to look at depending on the striker and what u do with Jonas is another problem. Also (And I know how great he is and yes I love him too) does Nolan fit into that side? Interesting signing N'Zogbia as it does change a lot of perceptions over how our team will look next year.

Thought him and Ben Arfa were good friends, plus he's already played with Barton here. I'd say he's worth a go if the price is right, which would probably be a little more than we paid for him.

Think Ben Arfa's fell out with everyone out in France <laugh>

I remember when we signed HBA and Villa got Houllier there were headlines in French papers saying "thank you England for taking Houllier and Ben Arfa".
