I never slagged off Belfast, I'm fine with certain areas of that great British city. I had a go at Londonderry & as Derry knows fine well, places like the Creggan or the Bogside an English person would get the **** kicked out of them unless they were with a local.
I think the word you were looking for is "WAS" Vil! But then what can be termed as a sh1t hole? Just because a place might have a city centre that may be aesthetically pleasing to look at but could be rough as, such as Belfast! (only joking) even with the funding it gets(touchy subject) it has came on leaps and bounds as has Derry.
