Scariest cop shop I ever woke up in = Stoke Newington. It had a deservedly bad reputation in the 80s, and I spent the night there shortly after a young black lad had allegedly shot himself in his cell, which certainly made the local news despite the rozzers trying to hush the whole thing up. By contrast, I was delighted to wake up in Hampstead police station one Sunday morning. Poshest area in North London, Hampstead. I felt like I was going up in the world.
When i got beaten up and mugged a few years back i had to give an interview at stoke newington nick. Rough doesn't come near to describing it!
I was born in 1985, in Stoke Newington, about 3mins away from Murder Mile. London is a ****ing paradise compared to back then. I can't wait to move the **** out of England though...
I grew up in Armagh. got stopped by the police/army pretty muc every time i left the house. Been lifted a few times, for no real reason Was arrested 2 St Patricks days in a row in Belfast just for being out! (I would say partly for being drunk out my face - but i wasnt too bad actually - just wrong place, wrong time) Cops in riot gear stood outside a nightclub waiting for people to come out, and said people being bolloxed usually resulted in 1 person throwing a brick/bottle at police = full on riot and anport in handcuffs Good memories man
A guy I knew was lifted for being drunk. He was put in a cell with a locally well known nutcase. The nutcase beat him up so bad he killed the guy, right in the cell. How the **** could the coppers not hear what was going on?
