I remember that Cortese voted against similar restrictions when we were in League 1...thought then it was because Markus was putting a large amount of money in compared with our income at that time. Some suggestion that it may be harder for smaller clubs to break through and keep the big clubs at the top.
Interesting that the objecting clubs did not include the top clubs, apart from Man City. As turkeys don't vote for Xmas, I'm guessing that the top clubs think they will not be affected by it.
Of course we would. Cortese would want stiffer controls. It's still no way to run a business. EDIT: On the other hand, those clubs with already established bigger revenues are more able to attract star players because they can pay them relatively more. It helps keep the established elite at the top. So there's another reason to vote against.

Well the top clubs all have large stadiums so this will add to how much they can spend. Would also mean no large transfer spending sprees etc.
Wonder why we voted against. The impression I got last year when this stuff came around in Football League discussions is that Nicola was right at the front in proposing new financial rules. But there is a balance between financial regulation and unfairly preserving the status quo. Let's see how it goes.
I'd guess we voted against as these rules are pointless. What's the point of rules that still allow a team to run at a loss of almost £96k per DAY?
Welcome, maybe you are right. But would the club, along with others you would consider prudent such as West Brom and Swansea, vote against new rules because they don't go far enough? It's seems strange.
