Yes if he plays well we will be in trouble.

If Clyne and Shaw are both out of action, then I fear for us, especially without Fonte. Fox's lack of positional awareness at LB scares the hell out of me, and while Cork has proved he can do a job at RB, we miss him in mid-field. On the other hand, if we press them high up the park we might just get away with it.

I agree with Chilco about Rickie, btw. You don't discard your top goalscorer. Players like him are rare at any level.

Just seen a fun factoid; only two players have won the ball in the attacking third more to the times our Gaston has, Suarez and Cazorla. Gaston has won it 16 times, Suarez and Cazorla have 22 and 18 times respectively, with Pienaar also on 16. Impressive in itself, but Gaston has played at least 900 minutes or 10 games less than all three of them, if you average it out he would be on around 27/8 if he'd played the some amount of minutes.

    That's my boy!

Just don't go there ... Clyne and Shaw missing. It makes me shudder.

As for Rickie, I love the guy. He deserves a statue outside SMS. Not only is he the most improved player at Saints since his arrival, but his whole attitude does it for me. He must be bloody horrible to play against. Discarding is not an option, so I hope the men in charge have a plan for how to best use him in the future. Terry Paine developed into a very good holding midfield player, and Rickie could too. Could be handy when you are 2-1 against Man Utd with 20 minutes to go.

Obvious bullshit, he's a lazy selfish foreigner.

Clyne and Shaw as potential outs is worrying because with, you would assume, Fonte and Forren out, that leaves us with a completely second choice backline.

Good that Forren got 45 minutes under his belt for Norway. Should be good for at least a place on the bench now.

Was Gaston on the bench today? I was under the impression he had pulled out?

Damn, no good news on this thread. City getting people back, us getting people out, Saturday is becoming a tougher ask by the day.
I blame Mallony the little bitch, this week would have been a lot more fun were not for him & his late freking goal.

Yes but 45 mins in a friendly is a long way from Tevez and Aguerro!

Exactly- if people are suggesting we throw Targett into the mix on sat then surely Forren should play?

Rickie has been great and gone on to improve as we have climbed the leagues.
I'm sure the new coaching team and manager has seen what he has to offer.

I think Rickie will be our number one striker next year as well. I suspect we will buy another striker in the summer and Sir Rickie will just up his game. A fantastic player.

The Manc translator returns!! Pochettino yet again picking him a translator for not getting what he said correctly.

"Luke Shaw is struggling to be fit to face #mcfc with ligament injury."

He's obviously taken a page from the Adkins playbook there.
