    Cove + Gandalf might like this. Taken from nufc.co.uk

    Newcastle United are looking for a full-time journalist to join the media team at St. James' Park.

    You will be required to:
    - write for the Club's website and our official Matchday Programme;

    - provide additional coverage, both online and in print of the Club's Academy, community and charity work, as well as occasional PR copy;
    - produce well-written, clean copy, including news, interviews and features, and generate your own editorial ideas;
    - contribute to nufcTV content, including interviews and editing of video material;
    - develop close working relationships with the Club's commercial departments, its players, coaching staff and charity Foundation team.

    The ideal candidate will:
    - have the ability to produce well-written, clean copy for both website and programme, including news, interviews and features;
    - be expected to generate their own editorial ideas;
    - have an excellent understanding of written English and the ability to write creative and engaging copy (essential);
    - be educated to degree standard (or equivalent), or hold an NCTJ qualification;
    - preferably have experience of writing within a journalistic environment;
    - have experience of camerawork and video editing;
    - have a smart and presentable appearance.

    You must be available to work all home and away fixtures through the season, and additional hours as required.
    A passion for football and an up-to-the-minute knowledge of the game is essential for the role, as is an understanding of what Newcastle United means to its supporters in the North-East and beyond.
    To apply, email your CV and two examples of your work to Managing Editor Anthony Marshall at [email protected] and please include details of your current salary where applicable.
    Close date: 15th February, 2013.

    This position is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
    Newcastle United Football Company Limited is an Equal Opportunities Employer.

    Easy enough for Gandalf, he goes to the games anyway.

    Yeah, could be an ideal candidate.

    Although, do you know whether he has a "smart and presentable appearance" ? Could be a deal breaker!

    Didn't have my usual seat for the Brugge game on the 25th Oct and I'm nearly sure Gandalf and DT were sitting almost next to me.

    If it was them, they're a good looking couple.

    DT is much better than G though.

    Careful AB, Gandalf will be inviting you round for an 'experimental' evening.

    That's what he'll tell you. Then when you get there he'll answer the door wearing only one of DT's nighties. He'll claim that DT has just popped out to get some wine and will be back in a minute.

    After a while of small talk and taking pretend phone calls from DT saying the traffic is awful, he'll show you around the house to pass some time. Whatever you do, do NOT, REPEAT NOT, go down into the 'wine cellar'. The clue is in the fact that DT is supposedly out buying wine, yet they have their very own 'wine cellar'. It is NOT a wine cellar.

    Oh, err... I'm not talking from experience, just merely... err... speculating. Yes, that's it. Speculating.

    What a dream job for someone! I imagine there'll be quite a bit of competition for it. (Although having spent all his dough on new signings, Mr Ashley may have very little left to pay a journalist. Is Gandalf independently wealthy?)

    Did you enjoy it though? Was it as good for you as it was for Gandalf?

    We always buy the exact same seats every time if possible in area B (no, I'm not ******* autistic!), but for one of the European games this season DT had to sit the other side of me because somebody had booked hers... Her wrath was hilarious <laugh> If it was you AB you should leave the country now!

    We were there for the Brugge match, with my brother as well, I think it was the debut of my florescent Ba 19 shirt. Still wear it for home games, should anyone want to buy me pints, or kick me :bandit:<ok>
