    Hi All,

well with everyone saying their farewells on 606 - its about time I got my ar*e into gear and start using not606 instead!

So Hello everyone - im sure most of you will remember me - for good and bad reason i;m sure, but there is no pleasing everyone is there!

Anyway, with the take over looming (I use this term lightly, as we know, anything to do with takeovers and PFC can always be taken with a pinch of salt) what do we expect to happen in the next few weeks?

I hate to say it, but we appear to be in a chicken and egg situation at PFC - we cannot do anything in the transfer market until the take over has been completed, yet the take over wont be completed until everyone in the board room is satisfied.

So what do we think? how long until this takeover happens, if it will at all.

And who do you think we should be targeting to keep, buy, loan etc?

I think a realistic target for Pompey this close season is to have 11 players at the end of it.

Hi Mike ! As you say, nothing is straight forward when it comes to PFC :emoticon-0112-wonde

One would like to think that as the 'takeover' has been ongoing for some months now, that all loose ends have surely been tied up ? I thought that Messrs Chanrai & Kushnir were extremely keen to "offload" PFC to some other mug, sorry , owner, who would be in a position of providing the level of investment required to take matters forward for the club.

If not, where do we go from here ?!

Poor old Steve Cotterill is in a "Catch 22" situation. He can't sign the players he has earmarked as being the ideal recruits for the team (and all on free transfers) due to the uncertainty. These potential signings will only wait so long, before they get cold feet, and to secure their own future (and who can blame them) sign on the dotted line for someone else.

Let us hope things happen quickly, and Steve can go for it "hammers & tongs", and sign the players we need.

Talking of "hammers & tongs", I was sad to see 'Uncle Avram' sacked by West Ham !

Moving on to the players we need, these are required in ALL positions. I wish we could sell Kitson and Mokoena, to hopefully raise funds to sign Halford permanently, and even De Laet, if Sir Alex is feeling benevolent after winning the Premier League.

If Nugent is leaving, then we need one or two proper natural goal scoring strikers, but where do you get these types of players from nowadays ? We need to unearth another Todorov, or Yakubu type of striker, perhaps someone who has fallen out with his present manager, and is desperate to move on.

One thing is for sure, it is going to be a long and interesting Summer.........

As far as this on-off-on-off takeover is concerned, I'm afraid my glass is 'half empty'. How many times are we going to hear positive murmurings from Fratton Park about impending take overs by some consortiums of deep wallets, which turn out to be fruitless?

As things stand I see us going into the 2011-12 season with the same target as last - 21st or above! And with Saints and Brighton in the same division and eying us like a wounded animal, I just hope we can perform in the derbies.

If there's no takeover Steve Cotterill's Army may be replaced with Fred Karno's Army.

If there is no take over, we will be playing our games at Roko on a Thursday night - 5-a-side anyone?

Good analagy re. the wounded animal bit Dev.

Does'nt look too good at the moment eh? Lots of interference from the stripey zone says it all.

Must be so frustrating for SC.

I've given up being frustrated myself. I assume thats the case with many others. Too much more of this is bound to work against the club with the fans. There is so much apathy around the city now. No wonder people have lost interest and found some other interest on a Saturday afternoon.
