We better 2nd half. Allen to Bale and Davies to Bale to Vokes. 2-0.

Joe rat face ledly is ****in rubbish. terrible touch and no vision what so ever. vaughen is crap, collison poor . Basically you can tell straight away which players are technical footballers and which arnt.
Bellers has done great same with bale, allen, ash and davies.

Special mention for sam ricketts playing centre half. Looks twice the player James collins is in that position! how collins has stole a living as a prem league centre half ive no idea but sam has done great considering he is up against a handful in the austrian striker.

Adam mattews, totally average. If jazz was playing then i feel we would be better at keep the ball.

I must add that Austria's goal was a classic Swansea defencive balls up. The player gets inbetween Ash and Davies and scores a great header, the exact type of header that most teams score against us.

We dont need to worry and Ash going anywhere, his height lets him down when push comes to shove and his positional sense sometimes lacks to make up for lack of height!

    Vaughan - terrrible.

    Ledley - worse.

Bale, Ash, Davies, Bellamy - class.

Good win even though Austria were the better side.

Good win by Wales withstanding late Austrian pressure to hang on to the win. I've got to say here how impressed I was with the Austrian No 7 Arnautovic who plays for Werder Bremen. How this guy would fit in with the Swans!

Not a big guy but strong and always involved. He looked so comfortable on the ball and was full of tricks: little shimmies, dummies, step-overs, great passer, superb delivery (particularly for their goal) and boy, could he beat a man. I'd really love to see this guy in a Swansea shirt because I reckon he could really propel us up the table if he played like that consistently.

I don't know anything about him because I've never heard of him before but I was well impressed. Wonder if he'd like the Premier League and how much he would cost?

Back in warm house already (it's awesome living in Landore haha) and Austria were the better side, but Wales has a moment where we looked like Swansea and kept possession for a while, two good goals for Wales and as for Austria's... well it shouldn't have been allowed to happen so that is something they'll need to address for the qualifiers.

Coleman need to stop picking Ledley, the guy is just trash and wastes a position on the pitch. I hope Matthews is not going to be first choice, he did a couple of good crosses but the lad cannot defend against this sort of opponent. I was really impressed with that Kanu kid who came on but embarrassed to say I had to ask which one he was because I had never seen him play before.

In other news I was told by someone at my seats that our U-21s got an even better result. 3-0. This bloke saw them play as well and told me he hoped the Swans sign up their starlet in that squad, Palace's Gwion Edwards who scored for the team!

I think project is being a bit Ironic there Steve :)

Austria had quite a few nice players, but when you look at where they all play you find most of them playing for top teams in Germany,it shows as well!

A win was important for Wales, there are alot of poor players for us though, they seem to play because they are in the prem league or playing for celtic. Mattews cannot pass or play keep ball, same with rat boy, well short of the required skill set. Ive rated collison in the past but i think he is there on reputation and the fact he gets games at west ham,i thought he ws wastful at times too.

It is very frustrating to watch sometimes, simple passes going astray and a lack of basic skills and movement off the ball . I guess it shows how far the Swans have come because the product we put out on the field has been far superior for the last 5 yrs !!

Never mind,it was a good game to watch and both teams played their part :)

Hey, never, you don't want to trust my judgement. I don't think I will in future. I said Arnautovic (Marko) wasn't a big guy. Turns out he's 6ft 3" according to Wiki and other sites!! Mind you, it shows how good he was because his control and balance totally belied his size: and his season stats for dribbling, crossing, shooting, heading and passing etc are right up there.

He went on loan to Inter from FC Twente and played just 3 games for Jose Mourinho who described him as a fantastic person but with the attitude of a child. Seems he's a bit of an apprentice Balotelli in that context and he speaks English and Dutch as well as German.

Tell you the truth, he's valued at £7 million (at only 23 he would be a great investment), I'd keep an eye on him and, if Laudrup watched the game, I reckon he will too. All that ability and he's a big lad with it. I still can't believe his size, though.

    Good shout Ivor.

Ledley's been **** for about 3 years now, should be in the squad and only used in emergencies.

    When Taylor's fit I'd play this;

    --------------Myhill/Hennessy---------------
    Taylor------Ricketts-----Ash-------B. Davies
    -------------Allen----Vaughan----------------
    Robson-Kanu---------------------Bellamy---
    --------------------Bale-----------------------
    ------------------Morrison---------------------

Subs; Jazz, Matthews, Collins, Nyatanga, Collison, King, Church, Vokes

Gunter and Ledley should only be picked in an injury crisis.
Giggs should be playing instead of Vaughan, not like he's getting a game these days anyway. He could be helping to bring the likes of Collison and Robson-Kanu on.

Thank god for that , I must be a midget because he was very Molbyesk in appearance and composure on the ball.He definitely stood out tonight for Austria. Very cold night tonight with not much to set the heart racing .some good spells of football but we scored against the run of play in the first half and caught them cold at the start of the second.A draw would probably have been a fairer result and once Bale went off all our creativity disappeared but not a bad crowd for such a cold night .

I like Vaughan but he has been losing it of late.

What I have seen from Jazz has been good it's just that it's a really important position (I used to play there so I would say that! :) ) and I feel you need guys who are playing every week at a high level in the engine room for Wales....to be honest I was thinking Collison would force his way in over the next couple of years.

Jazz has added to his defensive qualities though and has played in both full-back positions so should thrive in that Leon role, sitting, nicking, passing, filling (the spaces left by the full-backs). Would love to see him come through and fulfil this for Wales but it doesn't seem like we are grooming him as the next Leon though does it?

I've just realised I've left out Ramsey, would only consider him in the luxury role at the tip of the midfield these days though...that boy needs to learn to put in a shift and play for the team.
