He's done **** all for us since his arrival except bring bad press to ITFC. He's got more baggage than an airport and although he is probably one of the better finishers at the club he hasn't shown it regularly enough. I would not be sad to see him leave.
I have since realised the extent of the decline Warky, it certainly isn't as I remember it, but it was still insulting and disrespectful to the people in the town and particularly toward people who make ends meet by buying stuff from pound shops so they can afford a ticket for the game or a replica kit for their kids
He was only telling it like it is and I actually salute him for saying it! Without sparking a new debate all I will say is that it needs more people like him to start saying it publically otherwise nothing will ever change! I didn't see it as being disrespectful or insulting to anyone.
Yup, Ipswich and Gloucester have had the ignominy of having the worst town centres in the country. The BBC ran with this a few years ago. To be fair they're right, it's ****. Michael Chopra has just hammered the final nail into his ITFC career. I believe he will be sacked for this cheeky little number. The red tops will go beserk for this. Talk about a slap in the face to ME & the club, his team mates and the fans. Health farm my arse, he needs a good slapping. I've got visions of Super Mick freaking out What a maggot
They need to learn something from Loach, he uses his Twitter account to raise money for charity, support local businesses, and tweeting young fans good luck for their own matches - he also gives his clean sheet bonus to charity
Gloucester is an absolute ****hole! McClean was only stating an opinion (correct in my eyes), its just some people can't accept any criticism and start getting all PC about it! Chops should be sacked for this, I really hope this wasn't some prank from another player that has gone pete tong!
Wow, it's great to have a counter weight to the PR disaster that is Michael ****rod Chopra. Shame Loach's generosity isn't the headline maker, top fella!
Have to agree in the main. Gloucester isn't the nicest of places granted but it's a damn sight nicer than Ipswich, infact by a country mile. Have no problem with the McLean tweet, he said it in jokey way and it was true. As for Chopra, you've got to think the guys running out of chances, the club have stuck by him and I thought he deserved a second chance and appeared to be turning his life around plus the club knew what they were buying and this court case was prior to his time at ITFC. However he doesn't appear to be helping himself, I can't believe someone could be so stupid to post that, which makes me think Chopra is an absolute tool or this is some sort of windup. Like others have said I can't believe the club don't have some sort of rules on twitter. I actually think Twitter is a great avenue for news, certain updates and getting celebrities and the like closer to their fans but unfortunately it also shows how many idiots there are both some of the tweets and especially some of those who think they can say what they like to celebrities and the like because they are behind a computer screen. I've seen some of the players tweets and sometimes they don't help themselves but some of the abuse they get is disguisting but they should just rise above it, it seems Chopra isn't able to do this!!
Lets put this into perspective, the McLean tweet was wrong in my eyes, but it's insignificant by comparison.
A club spokesman: "Michael enjoys the banter of Twitter but sometimes that banter can be a little bit over the top," he said. Last month new signing Aaron McLean had to apologise after tweeting that shopping in the town was "rubbish". "As a club we welcome the use of Twitter," the spokesman said. "In an era when fans don't get close to players it's a good communication tool, but players should think before they tweet." That from the BBC site, so there you have it, these kinds of tweets are endorsed by the club.
It's definitely not a wind up, previous tweets have been very similar. In fairness, he does seem to receive a lot of abusive tweets but that is only because he responds to them like this. I think the club would want to get some money for him rather than fire him, but I'm not sure how many other clubs would be interested...
Personally, I'd pay the arrogant, overrated little ****er off and get rid. We picked him up when nobody else would - and what do we get? Oh, and my band played a gig in Gloucester at the New Inn, which was ace. There's a good chippy down by the car park, too. You want a ****hole, try Bridgend in Wales.
Anyone seen ALB response to Chopras tweet? http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/22437/chopra-quits-twitter-after-posting-cash-photo
When you make a withdrawal from a bank, your cash comes in plastic bags. When you borrow it from the leg breakers, they wrap it in the ghost of your shattered career. You can't score goals with a broken leg Chopra. Only Kieron Dyer can do that!
