Changed his name because he's too stupid to understand what Foreskin is talking about. Now go away and play with the simpletons.

haha, yeah he's on a different plane to me, he's obviously a man who's operating at the very highest level of the human spectrum of intelligence.

Your informative and well constructed argument has now convinced me that he is the bestest player in the whole wide world!

Off topic, i rate Joe Allen, he's a good player for us ( wales ), of course it was going to take time for him to settle at Liverpool, its a big step like it is when any player joins one of the big clubs.

Joe Allen thread. We're running out of United past and present players... <whistle>

Allen sucks, he's just had to defend himself in the media that he may not be Liverpool quality.

P.S. How is Liverpool a big club at the moment? They have not played CL football for ages, they are arguably on a par with Swansea (his old club) now. There might be more media attention on Liverpool, but that's fading year by year as well.

I know that sir tennisball, at least he's admitted he's been **** for them, i would say apart from us, most players would want to play for them in my opinion.

Thanks for your answer Luv, appreciated.
I asked the question due to reading on threads Lucas shouldn`t be playing a full 90 at the mo.
Hate him as much as Utd fans did Masch always seemed to do a job for you. When Utd fans see Lucas on Pools teamsheet at the moment it seems insignificant. Thanks again.

Fair play, he's immense. World class.

Nailed on fourth with more wins like tonight under your belt.

You picked the wrong game to ask me to watch Luv, he merely enhanced everything I've ever thought about the bloke.

    Bang average.

I did pick the wrong game and it wasn't his best although he was probably our best player, the only one who worked hard. Unfortunately for this thread the fact that he had so much to do in order to make up for the inadequate performance from his team mates meant that the positive parts of his game were not on display.

I saw a player who likes a tackle & doesn't offer much else. Did I miss anything?

It's easy to have a dig at a player after that game but he was one of the few that actually put a shift in, as I said when you are having to do all the work it can then be difficult to be creative, in the OP I did say to judge him after 3 games of specifically watching him.

Last night he showed good energy and broke up the play well so yes the very basics of a DM, is there more to his game I say yes but for others to get a fair view of his ability more than the 1 game is needed.

I actually thought he played well last night. Again not good enough to justify the praise he gets from some quarters but I do think he played well.

One thing that would concern me if I was a Liverpool fan would be how deep Gerrard was playing. I know his game has to change his age but without his runs into the box and attacking as much as he once did what he offers the team is nowhere near as much as previously.

I do however think Lucas had a good game in comparison to most of the LFC team and in general.

I wasn't having a pop at him, I was merely stating what I saw in him.

He did put a shift in & he did break up play well at times, but he offered little with the ball & was therefore inert in regards to contributing anything positive when you were in possession.

He looked the player I've seen every time I've seen him tbh, a ratter, who with the right players alongside him could be a vital cog in the machine, but get the balance of the side wrong & he looks a bit lost.
