Heard from a friend who use to go to school with Gerrards missus that he smokes pot in the off season. Highly unlikely but plausible. Young, rich people are probably the most likely to...

Also tabacco and alchol are drugs (not the worst but worse than a lot of illegal drugs) and I KNOW for a fact that there are a lot of footballers out the who smoke and have drinking problems.

This is all a load of crap

Have you actually smoked weed and played football, I have and do nearly every weekend and i am 10x the player i am when not high when i am smoking, I have better concentration, I have more variety and randomness in my play and movement and passing, I even hit the crossbar 5 times in a row from the half way when ihigh, the most i manager sobre is 2. i have not just done the 5 bar thing the once when high either.

When high i can do every trick in the book, Round the world, double round the world, oposing double round the world with a drop onto the heel and onto the neck

Ronaldinhos flick foward and back i can only manage at full sprint if i am high

My free kicks when high are blisteringly powerfull as i am much better able to channel my body in one movement

Being high allows me ot forget i have massive nerve damage and not be restricted

Being high allows me not to care that this guy is punching me on this corner. I just still get to the balll

Smoking weed would create more containment, better passes and unpredictability in players

Enhancing there performance but decreasing there fitness

    There you go

From the biggest pot smoking football who is a die hard toon fan

    Weed makes you play better

MAde me get 30% more correct answers in my computer engineering exam 2 on the resit. Funny eh?

doesnt make you dummer unless you smoke a few joints every day for long periods of time. So if anyone sais that ima pee through your letter box

Id like to point out i would never recommend smoking pot to anyone and it is a dangerous drug.

But it is the least dangerous drug compared to caffeine, taurine, alcohol, tobacco, Cocaine and anything else illegal

But it is still a drug

Never smoke more then once a week or you will become a cabbage potatoe

James, calm down buddy. I never said Weed was harmless, it certainly isn't. That's why I said the players manager would be pissed, as it does effect your body. But should you get banned for smoking weed?

I don't think so. If I caught one of my players doing it, I'd fine them wages, but I don't think the FA should ban people for getting high on Weed.

Weed makes you content doing nothing and it can make you lazy and put on weight, but I wasn't arguing that Weed is harmless, all I was saying is that it shouldn't get a player banned.

I think the main issue here is that although many of us don't believe marijuana should be illegal, currently it is. While this state of affair exists then the FA will have to ban players who are found to be smoking it on the grounds of bringing the game into disrepute.

The FA would be under huge pressure to condemn players found to be using drugs and take appropriate actions with the huge fan base that the PL has. Most of us are responsible adults (or just adults in Tash's case!) and can decide for ourselves what stance to take on drugs - I've personally had a few tokes on a spliff here and there and that's it. If people want to do more, that's their choice. What would be complained about is that these role models are encouraging kids to enter into illegal activities and that's a political s**t storm the FA can do without.

Sorry tash i am calm just looking forward to finishing work in less than an hour

I didnt mean to come across telling you ya didnt say it was dangerous, quite the opsite i think people ned ot be more open about it

I totally agree it shouldnt get a player banned

IF it was my player i would not be happy but as along as it was 24 hours before any work orientated thing i wouldnt care

But i completly whole heartly beleive that is increases your performance in all areas, improves your cognitive ability but sadly doesnt help your fitness to have Resin or THC oil Or general oil over your lungs.

I still manage to out run all my nom smoking mates in speed and stamina tho. But after 90 minutes i literally cannot do any more.

    you are correct tho

weed makes you content doing nothing, unless you only smoke weed when your doing something :)

    IT makes you lazy yes

It doesnt make you put on weight tho, The munchies do that if you have a **** motabolism and dont run it off

I have smoked weed for 7 years and never got higher than 12 stone, and i am 6ft 5 :)

I dont think youd fine them wages if this was holland as it is not the same over ther

Would you fine someone a weeks wages for having a red bull 30 minutes before a match as by the 60th minute they will be on the down side of it?

What about if someone missed a penalty. at half time had a ciggy and calmed down and went on to score a hatrick, nobody would care about that tab

    Its all in context tho

in 50 years time weed will be legally sold in most countries and will overtake alcohol as the primary source of intoxication just like it used to before prohibiton and the timber yards (****ing yankie gits)

If weed had been legal in the uk 2 years ago

    We would not have recession
    We would have less crime
The police would need less funding
More people would be caring and curious and not robots
The only bad thing is the amount of pot smokers would go up but then the money they put back into the economy from munchies ect welll

I have a bias view but society thinks it fine to wine and dine, drink caffeine and smoke nicoteine but my mother thinks i am a dealer just cos i smoke the reefa.

Tash i never EVER have go at you or condemm what your saying. :) cept the good old days when not 606 started lmao all the best pal

With regards to the last comment on players being found to have smoked weed being banned by the fa, if that were to be the case then surely by the same token players found guilty of drink driving should be banned too, or any other laws for that matter

You strike me as more of a Toby or a Boris than a Bias. Although bias does sound a bit like Boris.

I used to love a joint or 7. I reckon I'll start again when I'm grandad age and have no impressionable dependants. I'd also like to have a go at heroin if I know I'm going to pop it. Just for the experience. And any other supposedly massively enjoyable but dangerous/addictive drugs for that matter

I'd probably try loads of class A drugs if I thought I was about to pop my clogs, a bit like Breaking Bad really. Wouldn't touch the really addictive stuff otherwise though.

Although I've heard Maccy D's is as addictive as crack. Maybe if you test positive for Big Mac you should be banned for 6 months, and having a McFlurry is a lifetime ban.
