No it's because you are nearer to the Scottish capital than most major English cities and you talk very similar to the Scottish. No problem about it. <ok>
Would you want to play in the Scottish league as you are so close?

Jesus Christ...what the **** does that even mean ? First off, we are in a different country so that's like me asking you if you're ****ing French cos you're closer to it than we are up here !

Secondly we talk nothing like the Scottish. Like I said earlier, my dads side of the family are Scottish and I talk nothing like them....and strangely enough they talk nothing like me!

I can't even be arsed to answer your last question!

By the way ELLERS, personal insults aren't allowed on not606, and whereas you can come on the Newcastle board and make comments, you can't come on and make insults.

I presume it was an insult and not just ignorance that made you ask if we were Scottish, it was our forefathers that fought the Scots to keep England English.

well theres only about 20 odd miles difference between manchester to edinburgh , than manchester to london ,

so manchester should be near enough in the scottish league aswell then ..

People care that REMY couldn't even bother to come up and have a game of FIFA with Ashley even though we put him up in a swanky hotel overnight, paid for flights etc.

People care that REMY turned and ran straight to where the money was, how you can't see that is unbelieveable to me, and to think people call us deluded.

People care that your manager (again not your club) is a backhanded, droopy faced, brown evelope pushing, tapper upper (believe thats the techincal term).

People are not bothered by your club or its fans, so stop taking it so personally.

Maybe it's the fact that Remy behaved in a manner that was, let's say, less than honourable that has caused a few Newcastle fans to feel less than sympathetic towards the bloke. Anyone who believes that money was not a major factor in his decision is naieve to say the least.

But Remy seems to have been a factor (along with the Reading result) in kicking Mike Ashley into bringing in the players that we needed, and not waiting until the summer to sign them. So I'll be sure to thank Remy when we go to Loftus Road in May.

I think you'll find tash won that when he stated that we were complaining about Remy not trying in a cup game he never played in. What a tit!

That was just a glaring error - - a comment that could have been right if it hadn't been so completely wrong. Ellers' scottish enquiry/wumthrust hit truly epic heights of idiocy

Pretty sure I recall seeing some of you guys in kilts when I came to witness Kevin Keegans debut against us in the 80s though. Is there a connection?

Quite a few Irish and Scots living in the area wear kilts, not part of our traditional dress.

Nor is the French onion sellers garb, but you still see it worn by individuals with a good sense of humour.

I wonder do the French players seeing that fancy dress think of it as a harmless display of hospitality and affection or as patronisingly offensive in the extreme
