Looking for players for their coming season, maybe of interest to you SouthYorks. and Dutch. http://www.gooletowntigers.co.uk/club/News/view/582850
Anyone know of a team West of Hull (the Villages - Brough\Cave etc) that will take on **** players? I dont profess to be any good but I enjoy a kick about! Preferably not pub leagues, I don't fancy being steamrollered by some 20st drunk.
Blackies in Brough might be worth talking to, their first team are very good, but they also enter B and C teams in the Sunday Leagues. http://www.hsfl.co.uk/league-directory
Yeah I could do with a team too, I can play anywhere but as soon as I get over the halfway line I get tunnel vision and can't do ****. Any takers?
Hi lads, Just seen this and thought it'd be the best place to post about our new team with a couple of people saying they're looking to start playing. We've got about 13/14 that are really up for playing regularly so wouldn't hurt us to add a few. We'll play where Newbald play on Sunday's, season kicks off in July'ish time we're told but we're getting a few friendlies arranged, the first of which is at the 3g Hull Uni pitches on the 10th of March. We're a fairly young team with a few older heads and the quality is pretty varied. (To put it nicely) Email me if you think you might be interested at [email protected] Cheers
We hadn't really planned on going with wingers, more of a narrow 4-1-2-1-2. We could do with a striker though, we've got one class striker but not really anyone to partner him yet.
To be fair I'm probably not that big, just stamina is next to nothing so you can just call me super sub Use to play centre mid for school, or or just behind the striker.
Oh don't worry about stamina, 80% of our team are like that. We tried to have a training session yesterday ahead of our first game (even though its over a month away) and it's fair to say fitness work is required for the majority of us. Perhaps you could be the 1 of the 4-1-2-1-2 then.
Do you train regularly yet? What league are you entering next season? I wouldnt mind coming down if only to work on my fitness
No, not at all. Sunday was our first sort of 'Training Session' rather than just a few of us having a kick about. Although only 14 turned up so we had to shorten the pitch as everyone was in trouble after about 10 minutes! The Hull Mens Sunday League, not 100% on which yet, probably Wyke 6th ot 7th with us being new. We're perhaps naively expecting to walk it though. Well your welcome to come play in any of the friendlies we arrange and treat it as a sort of trial game.
I wouldn't mind playing for another team for fitness.. I play on a Wednesday at hull Uni so could play on a Sunday for a team aswell.
I can cover a few positions mate..... Main position is a right winger but can play centre mid, striker and last resort can cover at right back but I flap a bit in defence ha
