Maybe 800+ games; including a Champions' League game in this country. Wait to hear Gordon Taylor whine about our footballers/clubs/etc.......
The CL game in England can probably be narrowed down. 3 or 4 years ago and would have involved contentious refereeing decisions. Any journo worth his salt will be looking at all the games played at the time.
If the clubs involved in the game were aware of what was happening I'd be more bothered, but if it was solely down to the referee I'll be less concerned.
As I posted in another forum: "As a regular punter I've encountered many many dubious results. Especially in lower leagues in U.K. where the players' wages are very low and the rewards for a spot of hanky panky very tasty. I'm presently keeping an eye on egg chasing half time/full time scores as the opportunities there for skullduggery are manifest. And I won't even mention horse racing and the 'in running' race betting."
The Chelsea Barca semi stands out to me - as the ref waived away certain penalties to Chelsea he looked under severe pressure..
No it will be Man utd v Braga, massive amount of money on Man Utd to win when they was 2-0 down at home
Apparently it's the keeper for Debrecen, the funny thing is the reasonit failed was because Liverpool were **** & couldn't score. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/t...ue-game-was-liverpool-1-debrecen-0-sept-2009/ Edit: Just re-read it & it's just a Danish newspaper, but apparently the keeper has been banned.
That is surprising - I was expecting either that semi-final in 2009 between Chelski & Barca, or any game involving an Italian side.
Not surprised bundesliga is one of the heaviest involved, such a really **** league. And full of ****ing Turks.
FIFA and UEFA can do nowt except band for life all those who are involved in it. Thankfully so far only One match has been in this country. The leagues in Hungary and Germany have had the most games fixed so far.
