Well boys and girls, another season is drawing to a close and a summer of speculation awaits. Forgive me if I pass on any further Bruce out Bruce in debates, been done to death and TBH it makes little difference what we say, others will decide.

A few comments were made last night that got me thinking, always a dangerous thing to do, about being a bit of a sheep, headless chicken who buries his non existent head in the sand, a supporter who turns up and takes the crap dished out regardless, well yes, that’s me.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about the comments and its what these forums are all about, getting us thinking.

Truth is I think I’m like the thousands of others who follow their team, when the mags had all those problems with Ashley, after he sacked Keegan we all laughed. The idiots we shouted, Ashley is screwing them and still they turn up, but I would have done the same and I bet so would you.

We know that its easy to turn your back on a owner you don’t like, a chairman who screws you, a manager who screws up and players who screw around, but turn your back on your club, not that easy.

In my younger days I would shout and scream, not on forums like this but in the pub, the New Derby before a game then on the terrace at Roker Park, rubbish I would cry, sack the board, **** off xxxxx or whoever the manager was. Then I would turn up next game and do it all again because, well because its what you do, being a supporter. I think that now I may have become immune or maybe just used to it, I still shout in bits but cant be bothered for long because I know I will still be there next season.

So I go into the summer break looking forward to seeing who we buy, who we sell and wait for the fixture list to see who we play in our first home game. If Bruce stays I know he cant have the injury crisis, injuries yes, crisis no. We cant have the long slump, slump yes, long slump no. If he goes I will transfer my allegiance to whoever takes over, like a sheep who follows regardless because the only other option is to stop following and I’m not ready to do that.

So my friends I leave you all with these fine rousing words......

    Baa,baa,baa..

sounds like a cue for a song

We're not scared to lose it all
    Security throw through the wall
Future dreams we have to realize
    A thousand sceptic hands
Won't keep us from the things we plan
Unless we're clinging to the things we prize

And do you feel scared - I do
But I won't stop and falter
And if we threw it all away
    Things can only get better
Wow wow wow oh, wow wow wow oh oh oh oh

Treating today as though it was
    The last, the final show
Get to sixty and feel no regret
It may take a little time
A lonely path, an uphill climb
Success or failure will not alter it

    And do you feel
    Wow wow wow oh...

    And do you feel...

Poltical correctness has gone mad....some other examples:

    1) Blackboards in school being renamed "Chalkboards" to avoid offending black people. A lot of them are green, which would be a much more logical reason to change the name. The marker variant, called a "Whiteboard", remains untouched.

    2) Some schools having a "holiday tree" every "Winter Holiday Season," or even more drastic

    3) City councils "banning" Christmas to avoid offending Jews, Muslims, Pagans, and other religious/non-religious folk

    4) Manhole covers being renamed "Personnel Access Units" to avoid offending women.

    5) "Brain storms" now called spider diagrams in fear of offedning people with Brain disabilities

I switched to the dark side for a long time (SMB - not the mags!) but I missed the mainly good natured banter on this site so came back (for good I think) I missed you to Syd!

Multi-coloured and white stripes is about as sensible as the name of their ground anyway.
