It seems that the argument against some fans being (what some perceive as) aggresive and troublesome is for someone else to be aggresive and troublesome in response.

    Marvelous. <laugh>

As there isn't an element of hooliganism about there behaviour, your point's pretty much wasted.

The Goole lads support this Club so just live with it, They will not see there behavior as been anything out the ordinary, you cant just tell them to act normal and civilized, as they don't know what that is, you cant change their culture, its like asking a Caveman to wear a suit and work in an Office

Depends how you define hooliganism - in the post above you say yourself (albeit perceived by others) that they can be aggressive and troublesome. Ok so they may not be chucking seats around or trashing pubs but i still don't see why you need to be 'aggressive' towards others in your support for the club or how that constitutes a good atmosphere.

They're NOT aggresive towards others, nor are they troublesome. Some people just seem to be easily intimidated by people singing.

Hooliganism, agresion, intimidation is possibly ilegal and would ultimately get them banned. They're not banned, so it seems those judging them need to reconsider their own standards.

    Isn't there?

You ever been on the train to Goole after a game with Guzler?

Do you think starting on and literally terrorising innocent foreign students is acceptable?

Swearing at the top of his voice in front of women and kids?

No, his behaviour is spot on.

    You can't defend the indefensible.

I can only say I've noticed them once or twice at away games, I think Watford away last year they went and sat on their own, started a fight with a steward and got a bucket load of abuse from the city fans behind. Didn't know who they were til then, the "**** off goolies" chant was the only reason I recognise or have even heard of them. Saw them at a game this season (the only one I remember is a short fat bastard in his early teens, maybe 12 or 13 with a mouth even Bernard Manning would be ashamed of) when they were trying to scrap with stewards again.

Commendable that they followed city to every game for years no doubt, but as others have said, you can support your team without being a ****, there's no need for it. And Jimmy Graham is right, the only argument in their defence seems to be that they've attended for years and do every game, commitment is no excuse for bad behaviour.

Iv never met this guy, but its sounding deeper than just been a supporter and a bit loud, and liking a drink before or after the game
its sounding more like he needs help, and has some mental health issues

But seemingly, you can make sweeping generalisations based on this incident. :emoticon-0114-dull:

I've had issues with some people because of their behaviour and I've raised it with them there and then. I don't feel the need to repeatedly insult them and the people they travel with because of it.

I also don't judge a group on one individual.

So, you see one incident and aren't even sure who it was.

I repeat, how ironic that this thread is about CIty fans being one voice, yet so many seem in a rush to chuck abuse at one group. The Police and stewards are itching to take action, yet this group stand in the same place week in week out. That says more than some people pointing out isolated incidents about one individual that may or may not have been there.

I know of a couple of lads which hang about with them and I know for a fact they go to matches just looking for trouble, so don't lay down the "no hooliganism" bull.

You can see a number of clowns in E1 (and away fans) facing each other for a full 90 mins, not even watching the match.

I have nothing wrong with vocal fans, we need more of them as the atmosphere at the KC is dire. However, there is a difference between vocalism and aggression.

It's probably better that we discourage any potential Egyptian fans now before they start any of this sort of nonsense in the ground.

Unless I'm mistaken I've not said anything about his mates, just him.

I raised it with him there and then alright and as I've stated his arse fell through the floor, he's a coward.

I see you didn't answer my question about being on the train back to Goole with him and also made a sweeping generalisation that It was only one incident.

I saw two incidents, where they were acting like total ****s. My point was, they are the only 2 times I've ever noticed them, and until Watford away last season I didn't even know they existed, so they can't be as bad as some people make out (at the games anyway).

I don't even know who this Guzzler is, but if Carmine has seen reason to dislike him, what's the problem with that. I can't see Carmine questioning his support anywhere, all I can see is him judging his character. What has that got to do with an atmosphere or attending games?

No, I made an assumption (not a generalisation) basedon your repeated posts about how he can't be a hard man because you are. :emoticon-0114-dull:

I assumed mentioning that fact that I have challenged people in the past about there behaviour (and had mine challenged too) was an answer, but to spell it out and simply based on your limited version of events, no, it's not acceptable.

Still haven't answered? FFS do you think you're paxman? <laugh>

Millwall was **** Policing that gave a few southern chavs false bravado. QPR? No idea what you're on about, but I don't recall any hooligan incidents of any note.

Well they got into a fight after Saturdays game with Charlton fans ... but your right , no hooliganism ;)

edit - Im not saying they started it at all as it appeared they came off second best and it all started with "banter" between them .. but they do seem to get themselves into scrapes don't they ?
