I could applaud them for going, not their support. They don't seem to support city, they just go to cause trouble and be obnoxious, they don't even watch the game, I can only say what I've seen.

I can't say I've seen them cause trouble and not everyone sees watching all the game as the be all and end all of the whole football experience.

The issue to me is that there's a group of fans, that have been going for years home and away and always get behind the team with songs etc. At a time when people bemoan the lack of atmosphere, I just find it ironic that people are critical of a group of fans singing.

Yes, the goole lads drink a fair bit before, during and after the match and could be seen to be aggressive but at the end of the day they are there to support City at every game and I certainly wont be slagging them off

Got to say I see both sides of the discussion, they certainly do put the miles in support the team etc, but then 99% of the time when there's incidents and ejections it involves them somewhere along the line , don't let it bother me tho .. Up to them what they do as long as they aren't hurting anyone

    We'll break this down into 4 parts;

1 - They have dealt with it a couple of times, e.g. QPR like I mentioned.

2- More often than not, they won't join in other chants (because they didnt start it and the Ulltras, whom are the other side of the atmosphere did instead)

3 - We are lacking atmosphere, but the divide is a large reason.

    4 - It's freedom of speech.

    1. If they're still attending games, the initial allegations were grossly exagerated as ilegal activity results in a ban.

    2. Not my experience (every home game near(ish to them).

    3. The distance divide between E2 and E3 and some of the mutes we have in between, yes.

    4. Which in your world excludes people from Goole.

1- I know people who were sat near them that day and just because they had season passes in that section they also were banned for the few games

2- You must not be near enough, as I saw from being right next to them at Millwall

3- It's also the fact they're just wanting everyone to do things their way

4- Did I say they don't have freedom of speech?

I think they probably were trying to be billy big bollocks because it was Millwall away. However, did they hurt anyone?

Banned for a few games? Really? IF that happened at all, it shows that the initial claims of this thread are grossly exagerated and yes, you are denying them freedom of speech because you're saying they can't sing what they want but must join in with ones you feel are suitable.

Did you support City that season? If you did I'm sure you'd recall the incidents and procedures.
Im not saying they can't sing what they want, but while one section are singing one chant, they always try and change the chant to something opposite which ruins the atmosphere and also confuses people.

I first met members of the Gooligans when queuing for away tickets in our promo year - some of them are loud and some can be foul mouthed but they are good hearted generally.

I'm a non drunken, non swearing fan but do not find them too egregious. I have plenty of time for Guzzler too.

    Let's live and let live.

We are meant to be as one, get off their backs, got to applaud the Gooligans for not supporting TWS even when we were bottom of Division 3

I'll admit, some of them seem like genuinely nice blokes, but then there are others which just make me ashamed to be a City fan.

In a way, that's making it sound like we all supported TWS when we were ****e, yeah there are thousands that did board the bandwagon, but you must remember, there are between 50-100 of them, and our attendances were alot higher than 100 per game ;)
