A nice card for a Monday at Doncaster but a distinctively average handicap hurdle to finish proceedings. However, that is the race that has me intrigued. Tony Carroll is a trainer who likes a punt so if the money doesnt come for this one then we will know its not on. In an attempt to beat him to the punch however my money is already on SHARE OPTION @ 33-1 4.35 Doncaster. This horse isnt getting any younger but he is very well handicapped on form as recent as twelve months ago. He is also definitely match fit as he has had a couple of spins on the flat. He is a course and distance winner off a mark of 100 and won twelve months ago off a mark of 93. His recent runs over hurdles have been races that he had little chance in due to ground or distance and thus he has been kindly treated to a drop by the handicapper. Carroll confuses matters by having Brennan on his other runner but I feel the claimer is on SHARE OPTION to get a further 7lbs in the bank. He is a very shrewd operator and I hope I have read this right. Keep an eye on the evening moves but try not to miss the boat!
Patrick Power just cut him to 20's STH. I admit I put this on text to a few people but I do hope its the connections getting in fast!
Threads only had four views Hawkeye LOL I text it to Rainbow, he had probably had a Rustlers burger each way on it!
Oh yea, fair enough. Great to see some good to soft ground tomorrow. It's been a long time. Disappointing only 4 declared for the listed hurdle. Early support is all for Darlan but at the prices surely it has to be the champion hurdler Rock on Ruby. 2/1 is fair as i can't take the form of Darlan's christmas hurdle win literally. he may be top class, but the race was a muddling event that chief rivals wouldn't of liked one bit and he quickened up best. So for me it's rock on ruby 2/1 nap.
Paddy could well be sipping a hot whiskey viewing as a guest and made 1 quick phone call once he saw the info
One burger more than I threw at it. You will all be glad to know it wasn't my money that has moved it.
Betfair are showing 16.5 on the exchanges but my bookie hasn't got any prices up which Is annoying. Poor on skybet and Billy's. first show tomorrow and they will have sucked away all the value. Who are you guys using to get the early prices? May have to change if this is a regular occurrence

Fully agree, Rock On Ruby is a monster price at 2/1. Darlan's Christmas Hurdle win was a very false race, tomorrow we will see the champ show his true colours
Great, thanks. I'm not so much interested in joining all as much as I'm mainly looking for a few with early prices. I've been keeping an eager eye on these threads lately as the jumps season is really hotting up and I love reading all the write ups and tips and banter that flows about and I want a piece of the pie!! First step, get a decent bookie
If you haven't already, hunt out a site called oddschecker. It's my bible for getting the best and early prices. You will soon see where you need accounts!
Really struggling to understand why Darlan is 8/11 and Rock On Ruby 2/1 tomorrow. Looking at the bare bones of Darlan's form he has not produced a performance worthy of a Champion hurdler. After being beaten in the Supreme Novices he went to Aintree and beat Captain Conan 4 lengths and Prospect Wells 11 lengths off level weights. Given Prospect Wells was beaten by Zarkandar in receipt of 17lbs and couldn't live with Olofi giving 3lbs (accounting for Derham's claim) the Aintree form has little collateral value. In the Christmas Hurdle he appeared to beat Countrywide Flame (who doesn't go right handed?) and Cinders and Ashes with plenty in hand but surely the presence of Raya Star in 2nd place has to devalue the form? Rock On Ruby is the reigning champ and, although he couldn't live with Oscar Whiskey over 2m4f at Aintree, his comeback run this season was full of promise. He looked big and burly and in need of the run but was right there in contention up to the final hurdle and was not given a hard time once he blew up after the last. A very good effort at the weights and with Zarkandar having a fitness advantage. He will strip much fitter tomorrow and I strongly fancy him to put the young pretenders in their place. I'm on large
