Have to say that to make light of such a ****ing hideous murder of a 16 yr old girl is nothing short of mindless and to be honest i am disgusted with you lot, this has nothing to do with my opinion of MM and for you lot to say im using this to back track or whatever is a disgrace, shame on you!! Thought you knew me better than that, i stick by my opinions and would not use anything to detract from them opinions, especially a murder of a young girl!! ****ers the lot of you!!!
Very good win and performance, the back four were solid, and had a good understanding. Stearman had a good solid game, and the way he fitted in, it was as if he had been a regular for us for years, never caught out of position, and covered in the middle on occasions, a much better player than Orr, in my opinion. Blind alley Martin was not missed one iota. N'daw and Hyam bossed the midfield, Smith took his goals well, and showed what can be done when you attack the ball. Superb strike by Mcgoldrick. Wordsworth showed signs of promise, hard to truly judge, as when he came on, we were coasting. However you could see why people praise his ability with his left foot, he had one thunderbolt from distance which just cleared the bar.
I must admit to being very happy to eat my words after we scored 4 goals today! I said mid-week that I was worried where the goals were going to come from but it seems that McGoldrick, McClean and Tommy put me right on that one!
Good to see mcgoldrick break his duck, hopefully now that'll give him the impetus to crack on and show us what he can do. McLean also on scoresheet which is great but jury still out for me. And by sounds of what's being said Wordsworth showed his potential. Another tricky game coming up but lets enjoy the next few days and a magnificent result regardless of what some may say.
Seconded JWM, all very good goals also, particularly Tommy Smiths headers, great attacking balls like that!! Although I think Martin should be in the team ahead of Edwards (on the right), what I don't want to see is him anywhere near setpieces again!! Why for the past 4 years have we had 2 players (Leadbitter and Martin) taking set pieces when we've had much better set piece takers in the team!! On a small downer, both McLean and McGoldricks goals were spectacular but I'm still not overly confident they're the sort of players to score alot of goals. Looking at McGoldricks goals for Coventry they were all generally spectacular goals from outside the area. It would be good to see a goal poacher in there!! But given what I thought was going to happen I can't believe how good we were today!!

There is no doubt that in McGoldrick we have a very classy player and the goal he scored today will do his confidence the world of good. There can be absolutely no complaints about the performance today and I shall just ignore Spanish and his pithy pathetic comments from now on!
Presumably you were there warky. It must've been buzzing. Stearman obviously slotted in well? One to try snd make permanent you think?
The best bit was when the SBR started singing "We want more!" when we were 4-0 Up! Reminds me of halcyon days when George Burley's teams were bulldozing the opposition! Stearman is a class act and a different gear to Bradley Orr! We should go all out to keep him and I reckon MM will be! He was so assured and offered a great deal in defence and offence.
Yes I think Stearman is a much better player than Orr didn't really rate him but he was steady and average!! I do however see Stearman as a CB, despite me quite rating Chambers wouldn't it be a great to see a defence of Hewitt, Stearman, Smith, Creswell eventually? I think that could potentially be a great backline!!
That has potential to be a solid back line. Stearman was gonna be better than Orr regardless. Get the defence sorted so we don't concede also takes a little pressure off the forward line too.
Spanish, what the hell are you on about? You've hijacked this thread with a news story that I, and doubtless several others, haven't read and are not commenting on. It's evidently a tragic story, but this is a football forum and not a place for your tantrums. Now I'm off to watch the last episode of Borgen, får hilvel! Tak for dej. Hi hi.

Spanish makes some bloody good points. Ok it's a bit over the top, but that wouldn't have happened if MM had been in the dugout, it's a well known phenomenon that staff perform when the 'bad guy' manager is absent, for a short time, then after a while they take the piss. As for the Royle-era, he was such a negative prick that if he'd had a bit of belief in the excellent squad he had at his disposal then we'd not be where we are today. I spoke to an old school friend about the game, who was a season ticket holder for twenty years and it turned out he didn't go because he packed it in and doesn't regret missing yesterday. I think it'll take a lot more than this win to reignite the flame for a lot of people. Terry Connor is a fantastic guy though, you could see how much he was hurting at Wolves so I think it's an honour for us to have him involved and most of all I'm pleased for him about this result.
