Held back on this but have to give you guys a selection of the idiotic views some of these complete morons on the Pinkun are coming out with. From a messageboard practically built on hate and bad feeling they've excelled themselves this year. The level of stupiditiy and hatred displayed towards the club they claim to "Support" sickens me. Remember folks, these people are a minority but you have all had one sit behind you at a game. That guy that has a position that is clearly wrong and although they've supported the club for years they clearly hate it with a passion. The guy that is always clamouring to be the first to predict disaster instead of getting the behind the team just so they can feel smug when their often changed criteria for a downfall "comes true" Weak, fickle and small minded individuals they want nothing more than the team to fail at every possible avenue. They are holding the club back (and indeed every clubs "pinkun posters" hold their respective clubs back) and are not to be trusted. Pure snakes trying to bring everyone elses enjoyment down to a minimum. Anyway, now I've got that off my chest, on with the quotes. As expected they are some of the best yet. Pretty bad so far eh? Now we move to the most serious thing to come out of the transfer window. It is accused on this joke of a messageboard and Celtic and Norwich COLLUDED together to generate a transfer story about Gary Hooper that never truly existed. No, i'm not kidding. They have to cheek to drag our club through dirt that doesn't exist or make a meal out of any situation then say that any detractors or, frankly, people that aren't ****ing morons are "Happy Clappers" Well I've got news for you, heres a happy clapper who'll take any of you morons on. I'd like to end on the positive note that this board has managed to remain sane through a period that is incredibly stressful and you al seem completely committed to this football club. There aren't many boards like this so be happy and excellent to eachother. Beef.
Great post Beef, though I lost control of my senses about half way through the quoted nonsense. One that stood out was the penultimate quote which contained the rather fortuitous "FACT" - is Mikey lurking on the Pinkun too? It does sum up the twattishness/brainlessness of the one thumbed keyboard tappers on there.

Makes me glad I found this site, Pinkun does my head in with all the constant moaning, criticising of our players and management, all the attention seekers/trolls. Admittedly I still go on there bizarrely.
I understand peoples dislike of the Pink In site but to me even bothering to go on the site is like a black person going on the BNP site and being surprised at the vitriol. I wouldn't give them the time of day. It only winds you up.

I don't understand any of the Holt criticism. He's had an excellent season, he's just not getting the chances because he's playing significantly deeper. It's Hughton's fault if anyone's, but in my opinion no-one's at fault - Holt's just 'taking one for the team', so to speak.
You'll always get a few who enjoy a moan a bit too much or are very skeptical about everything. With transfers I think most sets of fans have a lot who feel very strongly that there isn't enough money being spent, we get the same but when you see our targets like Willian and Oscar going for £25-30mill I think most of our fans got some perspective on it. There will always be some negative ones, however.

First the idea of booing a player to spur him in worked fantastically for Morison didn't it. In general, and as proved by the professions thread, we are all different people however we all share a love if Norwich city and I imagine have all lived in Norfolk at some point in their lives and have great affection for the county. However I do feel that Norfolk suffers from too many of these people in the same way as Leeds or Millwall have too many violent fans. Nobody want their club to be defined by these people but unfortunately they eventually do. Several times I've listened to football phone ins and been told the next fan is from norwich and I dread what I'm going to hear next it always an embaresment. This board does seem to be populated by intelligent and expressive people which provokes good debate. It's always a good read I find.
Holt and Becchio, with the understanding Snodgrass and Johnson will bring to the service forwards. Surely thats a formula that can succeed? Holt has a LOT more to give. If we'd have got Hooper in, he'd still be our second best striker at the club. Holt is our champion, Mr Norwich city and plenty of people are jealous that we have such a unique warrior. Norwich fans should cherish every moment they see him playing for us becasue there has never been one like him, and it's unlikely there ever will be again. In decades from now we will still sing of "Super Grant Holt, Norwiches number 9", the man that drove us up the leagues.
The conspiracy theory about the board skimming 35 k profit a week did make me laugh. All clubs have these types of fans they exist in there 1000's they are allowed to have an opinion though no matter how deluded it may be. I don't agree with some of stuff people spout on here but I admit those guys take things to new extremes. I think fans naturally build up their expectations unrealistically around this time of year it's mostly due to panic, the January transfer window has been diabolical all round if I'm to be honest with the exception of Newcastle no-one has really gone out there and properly strengthened their squad. We've not really done too bad in the grand scheme of things, some fans though were expecting that big signing which didn't happen, I'm glad we didn't get ripped off by Celtic in the end they can keep Hooper as far as I'm concerned.
I've stopped using the Pinkun discussion board, it depresses me too much. One thing that still dumfounds me is the thought that Hooper was the answer. I know he scores goals in Scotland, but is he any more or less tried and tested than who we brought in.
There is a very small group of posters on the Pinkun site who are worth reading; I always read Ricardo's match report for example. There are also comedians who are amusing. The moderator at Archant posted at New Year saying that he will be more active in banning posters who contravene the rules. However, the standard of posts has dropped like a stone in the last few months; and during this last Transfer window, it was the pits. I post on there occasionally, particularly to counteract the worst of the vitriole against players and Hughton. My reason for doing so, is I know that fans of other clubs read the site, and I don't want them to have a wholly inaccurate view of what we are like. But if I want to feel part of a genuine fan base, with all the good humour and sensible discussion/argument typical of football supporters, then I come here. Perhaps we should all invade the Pinkun and spread good sense and poetry there.
