Thats bollox tbh. Most managers with any class and not trying to unsettle players using the media, tend to say things like ' i don't want to talk about another teams player'. Absolutely no need to conduct transfer business in the media. Other managers do it of course by Redknapp is one of the all time worst for it. 'He's a triffic player' and all that. But then he's your manager, an ex spammer and an ex spud, so I'm not going to like him I guess!
Martin Jol has just said on SSN that he was close to signing Tom Huddlestone from spuds, so what's the difference?
This guy does not give a **** about rangers, its all about the 45k per week, and a 2 and a half year contract, that the MUGS at QPR were offering. could it be in 18 mths time ????? QUEENS PARK POMPY ?????
It's not bollocks at all. It's a new fad. Managers that now say 'i won't talk about other team's player's' have jumped on the bandwagon. Wenger for example says this alot now. A couple of years ago he would talk about it or name them frequently. I'm sure I could quite easily find footage of every premier league manager talking about players that arent his own. Blinkered.
