Walcott still hasn't proved anything after a string of a few pretty good matches, yet he's still (and please tell me if I completely butcher this phrase) 'taking the piss'! This is always annoying to see. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ont-about-his-hopes-as-Arsenal-roar-back.html Not saying he does/doesn't know more than Wenger...
I'm glad he has his confidence up but Theo's sounding a little too much like Bendtner. He is officially 'taking the piss' (please correct me if I'm misusing the phrase)! Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's strung a few decent performances together and bagged a few goals but saying that he know what's best for the team is simply jumping the gun. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ont-about-his-hopes-as-Arsenal-roar-back.html Anyway, lets hope his confidence is a sign of many more goals to come! Come on Arsenal!
Not sure, why Theo is still going on about this. His current position is perfect for him in many ways. He does not have two CB's on him and he does not have to track back as much, because he is playing a lot closer to Giroud.
He has a point. And I think his ego is fine as it is. Also this is the Sun, don't hurt yourself over the BS you'll se from that trash
Though I do understand that he needs to pipe down on the CF thing. He'll get time there no doubt, but Giroud is on fire at the moment, so why kill his momentum because Theo wants to play CF?
Whatever he is scoring and he signed the contract. We can all panic again in 3 years time. Let him say what he wants as long as he keeps scoring. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/-olivier-has-been-on-fire-in-recent-weeks- - also from a slightly more trusting and official source.
Those look like old quotes to me... Isn't that almost identical to what he said after his first couple of striker appearances? I think it's just old quotes dragged up to create a story. Wouldn't read too much into it i think Walcott is happy with how things are going for him at the moment.
Yep. I wish more people were intelligent enough to actually read what the player SAID, rather than what the paper is claiming he said. Where does Theo 'roar' 'That's why you must play me up front'? Where does he say that him being up front is best for the team? He could just as easily have meant that he understands he won't always get to play up front, and that THAT is best for the team. And he could quite easily have said that some time ago and is being quoted out of context. But that wouldn't be a Sun headline would it.
Ha! No I guess many don't. I read anything and everything I can football related. I started following that, ESPNSoccernet, and tribalfootball. I don't read much of those three anymore I'm mainly onto the BBC and the Daily Mail. Arsenal.com isn't bad but it's never as objective as I'd like. Open to suggestions though! Yes he needs his confidence. Yes they may be old quotes. No, they don't sit well with me because Walcott has flashes of brilliance but is spotty at best consistency wise (he has been getting better). Now's time to stop the talk from him and to walk the walk. The Sun no doubt cooks up stories and this one worked to fire me up
Is there any other example of a professional player throwing so many hissy fits about where he's ****ing played? ****'s sake. Anytime he's decent it's from counter attacks anyway, why would we need to waste the work-rate, physicality, link up and overall utility of Giroud upfront for that, when he can be useful on counter attacks from the right? Gah.
People who like walcott say probably bullshit Gent who doesn't like walcott says what a **** Losers - Everyone Winners - ****e Newspaper.
No, all we know is the papers say he said it every chance they get. And what they're doing is obviously working with regard to you.
Aah The Sun. One of the vilest publications in daily circulation. I stopped buying Man uniteds P.R leaflet along time ago because I'm not sure if the 40p I spend is not lining the pockets of the Glazers in some way. If I see one on the train I may have read but I always wash my hands thoroughly after handling something so dirty.
