There's no doubt that that proves Danny was our main striker and threat and not to bring a decent striker in will be foolish..

I tend to agree. It's far from ideal. If we don't get anyone I fear that Laudrup is going to keep faith with the very ineffective Schechter. Personally I think it's time for Moore to step up if we don't sign anyone. He has bags of talent but needs to work much much harder to fulfil his potential.

Well,I am very disappointed that he has gone, but something has been bubbling about this for some time and it became inevitable.

Sad day for me,I am a big Graham fan.

well i have no faith in Moore but i will give him until the end of the season, if he's still not impressed by then i hope he will move on. i will drive him to the severn bridge myself.

    Moore career stats
    Games: 210
    Goals: 32

Not a Premiership striker by any stretch of the imagination. The Moore (get it!) I look into his history the Moore I realise how utterly ****e he is.

Moore has indeed linked-up well with Michu at times. But what makes people think that he's ever going to step-up to the mark & make our lone central striking role is own. Under Laudrup, with Graham struggling to get a regular start, you would have thought he would have already 'bust a gut' to make that place, without question, his own. It hasn't happened & it's not going to happen. He's talented, undoubtably, but the importance he has for us, I feel will remain the same...

Real shame but he's not been happy all year. His ego didn't like the bench even though Michu was banging them in for fun.

So, he's gone, its a real pitty but, we can do better. Danny had reasonable success last year because he is a workhorse but, this year, our game has changed. Its evident for all to see that now we need a quick, sharpe, spark of a player to play ahead of Michu. As solid as Danny is, he's never going to be that and he hasn't been our number one goal scoring option this year.

Good of the board to let him go in this way and to not put up any barricades. It shows the board has respect for DG and for our players and I'm happy with that.

Watford to make approx £200K from the deal.

Good luck Danny-boy and thanks <ok>

personally Im gutted about this - the Michu/Graham partnership was one that i would have liked to see developed and Graham has shown enough talent coming back in to warrant a first team place. Makes me think that there was more to it than meets the eye. looking at the replacements weve got doesnt fill me with confidence but hope im proved wrong or we unearth another Michu like gem from somewhere!

Good luck Danny and cheers for the good work!

Young Tom Ince would be a perfect fit and his old man knows it.

Really? He's nothing like Graham who is an out and out striker. Very good promising British talent though.

Very few out and out premier league strikers so its a bit outside the box (in both senses!)

Gutted! I have to believe that a new striker is coming in otherwise this really doesn't make sense. So DG might have had personal problems but they could have been put on the back burner for a few months to see us through until the end of the season. We have to have another striker because what we've got are not good enough. Period!

By the way, what about David Villa on loan as another one of my dark horses? His odds on a move tumbled from 33/1 to 5/1 overnight and Arsenal have ruled themselves out. I could accept the loss of Danny if this happened.

I tend to agree the only thing i feel is that i dont know whether he is capable of stepping up. Cant help thinking loads of talent, lack of application. Maybe that is why he was shipped out by his last 2 clubs. New striker if even on loan for me.
