Surely we will have to bring somone in if he goes. Yes we have michu, but if he gets injured what do we have left. Moore 2 goals in pl i think and Donnelly, think that leaves us very light. Just pray Michu doesnt get injured.
Well Spurs and Arsenal have dissmised the fact that they could be signing David Villa. If nobody else wants him...
The deal we all want if he is going. Not selling to a rival is important and not only that you can bet There is a few quid stiften into a promotion clause to boro!! Remember us paying ipswich 250000 quid for that spanner prisken that only played a couple games? I would reckon There is alot of add ons and it wouldnt suprise me if we Get about 2 m quid if they go up this season and 1m if its NeXT season. Fair play to DG he wants out and has been totally professional in the process, good luck to him i say. Now we know why DG aint been in laudrups thoughts, it was obviously on the cares for a while and all the rumours areprobably not far away. Laudrup needed to be playing others to Get then game time ,its turned out to be good management actually, im not sure if we Are going to Get another striker in time but my guess is if we dont its because laudrup is happy with what we have .

Can't see us signing anyone today due to the hoops we have to go through for international clearance...(unless of course we have already signed someone on the hush hush and just haven't announced it)
Other clubs have the same problem signing players from us and from abroad. Don't quite see the problem...
Boro don't have financial problems. Owned by Steve Gibson. Very rich man. His passion is Boro and puts loads of money into them. recently built Rockliffe hall. reported 65m
Just seem to remember that the club had to reduce wages and offload players last year due to financial problems. Probably just me remembering incorrectly...
That yellow bar at the bottom of the screen on Sky Sports News is also saying that DG's agent says he's not going to Middlesbrough
I was under the impression that three governing bodies have to ratify the deal, the Welsh FA, The Premier League & finally UEFA....It can be done, but there are a lot of potential fcuk ups in that chain as Darnel Situ will testify....
Yeah, but shouldn't there be the same problem for english clubs buying from overseas? Or from Wales? They have the english FA, the premier league and the UEFA too...
I generally avoid cliche's,but I will be "gutted",and not "over the moon" if D.G. leaves. As far as talk of him going to 'Boro, well, somebody was having a laugh. 'Boro wanted £5,000,000.00 for Emnes when we wanted to sign him not so many years ago. He did O.K. whilst on loan, but I don't see him as a P.L. striker. Based on that Emnes valuation, selling D.G. to any other Club for £5,500,000.00 is insane.
Good luck to DG if he goes but I still think he's mad going there. If Tuesday night didn't persuade him to pull out nothing will. He must really want out of Swansea. The reasons? We'll probably never know the truth but it could be family reasons to want to go back to the North East. Not sure on this because he played at Watford for quite a while. It could be his socialising and Laudrup has told him to stop that or leave. But I'm hoping against hope that the reason he's leaving is because he's been told Laudrup has someone in mind and that would push DG further down the pecking order. If that doesn't happen I really worry that we have what it takes to challenge top 8 come May. It places far too much onto Michu's shoulders and if he's injured we've not got very little quality in reserve. I'm not a huge Kenwyn Jones fan but I'd take him over nobody right now.
Agreed. Square peg in a round hole springs to mind. But losing DG without any replacement is worrying.
I read we refused to meet Jone's wage demands (50k a week). Nice to see Huw keeping control of the budget. I can see Harry sending QPR into administration the way he's spending.
