Just got up as I'm working night shifts at the moment. Please tell me I'm not dreaming! Massive if we can pull this signing off! You RRRRRRR's
This would be brilliant if we can do the business, we ship out Anton 'I only made it because my brother's called Rio' Ferdinand and replace him with Christopher 'the Rock' Samba, i can't wait to see what John terry has to say to Samba, i don't think we will have the same problems as before! Have to say is it just me or is anyone else thinking how the ****-a-doodle-do are we paying for any of this (TF is not super rich) and are we the next Portsmouth? Fingers crossed this all makes sense financially somewhere but i can't help feel if it does then i want some of what ever they are smoking.
QPR are poised to complete the signing of Chris Samba after agreeing a three-and-a-half-year deal with the defender. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...ngers-agree-three-and-a-half-year-samba-deal?
It's hard for me to worry about finances when we are part owned by one of the richest men on the planet.
Yes yes very good... Well last season at your place we struggled and though we should have got something with 9 men, we didn't. This season we were probably fortunate to get a point at your place. At the Bridge it was annoying... We have 4 points off you in 4 games. For you, Chelsea home and away are the biggest games of your season. This atmosphere certainly transforms onto the pitch and you want it more than us. With Harry at the helm he'll get you playing nice footie with some top players. No... you don't rule West London. That goes to the team who finishes highest in England from West London so I think we'll have that 'title' for a while. But you are an irritating bunch!
...and you are very gracious BB and a good poster like DL. I am old enough to remember the real ding-dong derbies between us when they always fell on Boxing Day. You can do us a favour tonight, so we'll forget about the one-sided rivalry for 90 mins!!
Exactly. Not sure what your point is? Samba isn't going to be the saviour, hes not THAT good that he can carry a whole team. 10m and 80k odd a week just seems ott to me. Onuoha would do just as well at centre back, his preferred position
Cheers pal... and I can't remember those days as I'm only a uni student! But for the derbies at the moment it is really annoying. With RDM we really wanted it. We beat Arsenal 2-1 away and Spurs away 4-2 (which was special) and though we drew 0-0 with you I put that down to two teams both really wanting it. With Rafa we lost at the Spammers 3-1, drew to Fulham at home 0-0, just managed to scrape a 2-1 win against the Goons and we lost to you 1-0. Oh and Brentford we drew 2-2... It's like the players don't feel the importance of these matches unlike us fans. Walking out of Upton Park after a 3-1 defeat with West Ham fans goading you all the way to the tube was farking annoying! We'll do our best tonight but don't count on it!
We cant go through the rest of the season with 2 CBs, we might have a new tactic, park the bus against everyone and score from corners with Crouch and Samba, of course we need someone who can clear the 1st man 1st.
Then stump up the money yourself. Don't expect someone else to do it for you and then whinge when it all goes pear shaped. Once again, all reason seems to have gone from this forum. For a man who said he would not spend any more of the owners money, Harold now seem to have gone into full reverse mode. That's £30 million being pumped in to keep us up and you lot happy. That is with one day still to go. We'll all be delighted if we do escape but this insanity every six months has to stop. And our fans need to stop attacking the owners fo mistakes previously made.
Of course he can't carry the whole team. Nobody can. If you can name one CB that do all the defensive job and the rest of the team stroll around the halfway line I'll give you whatever you want. But you've seen the difference having Nelsen and Anton at the CB. As Onuoha part I really can't say would he be good CB. Harry's on the training pitch with him every day. I'll let him decide
It's a tough call in that situation, gamble significant sums to stay up looks tempting, especially with the new money coming in next year. The downside looks dangerous though. Good Luck! to your club, though not your managers. (I have a previously stated dislike of Les Hughes.......and I think amiable 'arry is at least as 'unpleasant'*...........though more effective). *legal constraints...........you understand
