The Board Conversation goes something like this.
"Well that wasn't one of our best appointments. Backwards in the PL, lost the WCFinal, rolled by QPR and the Hammers, can't score against Swansea, out of one Cup "
"So what to do ??We're stuck with the useless barrel of lard now, or we'll look like complete morons"
"Why don't we do the usual and say he has our full support ?? That usually guarantees he gets the arse within a week and RA can take all the blame !!"
" Bloody genius, perfect, lets call a press conference"
"Who will we get in to replace him ??..............................."
" Maybe we should give him another few games?? Yeah let's do that "

Jose is not the answer. At best he'll stay with us another couple of years, win a couple of trophies and leave again - in terms of stability we'll be no better off. At worst, he won't be able to recapture his old magic. Abramovich needs a cathartic moment of realisation and change, not retreating back to solutions that failed in the past.

I think Jose is exactly the answer. He'd unite the club again, have full respect of the players and is a proven winner. If he came back, why would he unless it was where he wanted to be?

My point is, had we not sacked him before he'd have left anyway within a year or two when the big clubs came calling. But now he's done it all. He'll never go back to Italy and Spain is now done having managed the biggest club in the world. Who would he leave us for?? Maybe United/City but I can't see it.

Personally I think he wants a job in England for a few years and then take on either Portugal or the England national team.

Jose won't be coming back. That's not even a debate. He will never manage Chelsea again, when has he ever gone back to a club or expressed such a wish, not once.

He probably wants to win an international tournament with Portugal and possibly secondly win the Champs league with an English club that ain't Chelsea, cos he's pretty much done everything else worth doing as far as his ego will see it.

If he were tro manage Portugal and win the euros or world cup, it would rightly make him the best overall manager of all time tbh
