Frightening really that the team there isn't a million miles away from possible, but Pilks, Wessi and Holt would be the only remaining members of last seasons XI playing that way.
When I look at it my main concern is poor old Tettey. However, on his day he could hold that spot down.
Yes, all three have to agree to any offer. Realistically, it's highly unlikely that the parts owned by Sporting "Lisbon" and the partnership are going to be very different in what they want, they might as well be one entity. I don't know anything about Portuguese banks, but I suspect from the structure that the bank has no interest in how much the player is bought and sold for and that their interest should be viewed more like a "mortgage" over the player against some sort of loan the club has got from the bank. I might be way off, but that's the only logical explanation for a bank being in the ownership structure. Still, two different groups of owners with different priorities for payment will make negotiations very protracted!
My worry (and the reason I said you couldn't have all three) is that to keep width you would end up with one DM - and we have needed 2 often. I could be tempted to play a 4-3-1-2: ------------Ruddy-------------- Whittaker Bassong Turner Garrido ------Tettey----Johnson-------- ------------?????--------------- ----------Hoolahan-------------- ------Holt----------------------- -------------------RVW--------- but you're losing a lot of width, as well as at least one of Snoddy/Pilks I realise most of you would be all for the '?????' being Fox but I'm not sure. I personally think Snodgrass or Howson would do a better job. Snodgrass would leave us with an excessively slow midfield though. Basically, I imagine we will stick with 4-2-3-1.
Twitter rumour with no credibility to it that Van Wolfswinkel was at Colney today. Someone else saying his medical is tomorrow. Again, zero credibility.
That team is scary I wouldn't be too concerned defensively either so long as the winger track back, Snoddy already does this, Pilks would need to a little more though. Also our ideal team has Ruddy at the back too.
Very strong (although sourceless, and with no credibility) rumours on twitter that Becchio is a done deal.
Becchio and RWW in, Moro out. I wouldn't say no to that, I just hope it's not too much money. Cheeky, dirt cheap signing of Davies 10 mins before the end of the window and I'll be very happy.
