If it werent for the fans being willing to pay these prices the league wouldn't be anywhere near the massive worldwide icon it is now. It's not like the money is going in some blokes back pocket, most clubs are running at a loss and the money from ticket sales has allowed us to bring in the big name, quality players it has on big wages which has made the league what it is! I don't get the argument for large ticket prices at all, would we all be happier to pay less and watch lower quality players in a ****e league? No. But we can't have it both ways and just need to get over it and be thankful for what we do have, IMO.
The wages that footballers are on these days are nothing short of crazy...Something has got to change sooner or later..
It certainly has risen that much for me as I was a kid in 1989 and now have to pay adult prices Seriously though it's shocking - I'm sure it used to cost my Mam and Dad as much for the family to go back then (them and me and my 2 brothers) as it does for me now! Crazy
