Posted my worries as soon as we let Campbell go, windows getting very close to shutting and my fears are now surely confirmed, we are woefully short up top, whicham n fletch, then ????? Alleged favourites for bent, betting stopped for graham (now laudrop says not on the cheap, or not if they don't get jones) downing we Re now 3:1, but really how much of this is just lazy journalism. How come we are great to deal with, Cardiff praise us for virtually giving campbell away with no cover, and yet our dealings always seem to take forever. We were thread bear and now even less personnel. Hope I'm wrong but frustrated, happy with Friday humble pie but hmm
Its all gonna kick off this afternoon marra, downing, bent on perms welbeck on loan is whats fleeing about at the minute
my Geordie mate asked me on Sunday what I thought if Sunderland never brought anyone in I replied telling him I would be disappointed as I still think we need 3 maybe even 4 positions strengthening but if the quality MoN wants to fill those positions this month are not aviailable and we bring no one in then I would rather that be the case than panic buy and get the quality in the summer. thats still the case IMO hopefully we have another N'Diaye type signing lined up
I would be happy with that mate. We still need IMO RB CB 2 X Forwards MoN said we were short of numbers at the start of Jan. Since then we have sold Frazier & Meyler & signed Alfie & Magmane. We are still short on numbers. I'm hoping we get at least 4 in before thursday night.
I do m8 but I don't make the decisions I don't want him back but if he does then I will support him as he would be a Sunderland player. I don't believe being negative to a player will get the best out of him.And if he comes and starts banging them in he will soon be forgiven.

Chill mate, I would rather MON prepares the team for an important premiership match then deal with transfers. That will happen tomorrow and Thursday, and it will.
Wow - so the answer to this question on the thread is YES. Im not worried at all. Yes we might be a bit short but there is far worse in this league even if we do get injuries. Honestly, I think the only thing happening is Graham and this might not happen because he is a Swansea player. MON has been slowly tapping away, quantity for quality and this will continue at a rate that will not harm the team, but will always better it. Most on this forum aren't getting carried away with the amount of players we need. We all know we need numbers but this will happen in due course. It will not happen with the click of a finger and I'm kinda happy about this (in a strange way). Look at the money other managers have spunked up the wall on players that if we all are honest with ourselves, shouldn't be at club because they are not good enough. Give it a couple of years lads then look at the change in quality. We'll be rubbing our eye taking double takes on what quality player we have in the Sunderland shirt. It will take time, MON will not be rushed and as a team we are OK. Example - it has taken Everton 12 years under David Moyes to create a quality team/squad. MON has been at the club 18 months and our re-build is far greater than theirs ever was. Time....!!!!
Some great points and reasoning, a lot I agree with, however. Yes we should be concentrating on the game tonight first, it doesn't however forgive the hush hanging over our place. Bent n downing I don't know, but the welbeck link, that's a drool, he was excellent here last time. As for news not the window regarding just numbers sake, we want quality, I'm ok with that as well but it's the players we've let go, Campbell, Saha, Meyer, sure there was another?? If we were short why on earth have they been allowed to go, 600k for Campbell, let him go when replacement in, Saha, whatever he's been garbage for us, Meyer, hull fans cooing over him. We've been burned with this before leaving one fit striker in January window, our season collapsed. ??
I'm pretty sure we'll sign a striker and that's it But lets think about it, had Campbell, Ji and Saha been kept our attack would only be slightly better So although our numbers have decreased I wouldn't say the quality has gone down greatly Oh and I would never have Bent back
That's the other Ji, lol. Just been on other boards re welbeck n downing, nowt going on, Swansea fans quite complimentary on graham, villa boards re bent, think they've all resigned to go down, nobody posting anything, nobody looks interested, sad, but hey ho.
I wouldn't want him back, would be shocked if he did come back. Would be like walking into a public bog & finding George Michael, Julian Clarey & Boy George all huddled together in a cubicle wearing gimp suits. Bent & shocking to say the least.
