Veron or Berbatov

Afternoon all, as our board is quiet, i thought i would ask the following question, its a difficult choice for me because both were one of my favourite players when they were at United especially the former because we thought he was the final piece of the jigsaw in terms of europe but it wasn't to be, whereas with the bulgarian, the manager thought he found the new Cantona, he performed against the smaller teams but he didn't against the big ones, which was a shame, he was our top scorer in the 10/11 season and scored a hat-trick against Liverpool as well.

With all that considered, i would choose Veron because our fans moan 24-7 about getting a new midfielder and i think he would do well with us again in my opinion.

The biggest disappointment for me was Veron. The bloke undoubtedly had talent and was a massive signing when we got him but it just didn't work out for him,on a whole, at United.

With Berba I didn't expect too much when we signed him and certainly didn't think of him as the next Cantona ( the wass just the press getting giddy I think ) but Berba didn't disappoint me. I actually thought he did ok whilst with us albeit he was frustrating at times

 

Do you mean who would we prefer to buy back now, or if they were at their peak? Or do you mean who do we miss the most?

I'd prefer to buy back Berbatov. Mainly cos Veron retired last year.

Veron.

 

he was the last world-class player we signed ( before RVP ), he was great for us in the champions league but didn't produce that kind of form in the premier league.

 

Same as Berbatov, he didn't fit into the way we play and couldn't really adapt. Still a good player though.
