We need better than Waghorn if we're going to get promoted, decent squad player, not good enough to be a starter in a promotion chasing side.
Do you think? He scored a worldy the other week (I cant remember the game, but he had a couple of shots saved\off the bar?), but I dont see him as anything more than a squad player, especially when you have the likes of Nugent and Woods. He has potentially, but he wont fulfil it unless he gets regular game time. In all seriousness, I wouldnt have much confidence if Bruce brought him in to solve our impotency.
Yeah I was just joking. You can rely on him to play a good role off the bench. He has a very good set piece on him and is left footed so he can offer that bit of balance. He'll get you 5 goals a season no problem, can be pushed to about 10 if he stays fit. When you start him consistently he'll be alright. Can imagine him being sold to a lower Championship side if/when we get Promoted.
Forgetting the three young strikers that West Ham have(one of which just went on loan to Brum), their first team strikers are... Andy Carroll Carlton Cole Modibo Maïga Ricardo Vaz Tê Marouane Chamakh Wellington Paulista It's no wonder we're having difficulty picking up strikers when clubs have six first choice options, three of them are on loan too.
