Luckily I use devices that arent locked down by an over controlling company so they dont need jailbreaking!
You can jailbreak the OS through terminal as you always have been able to: Tip for anyone about to change their phone the iphone4 is a looking like a bargain as I saw it the other day for 24 a month and as that is better than any android device out there its a good option
I never said you can't JB through terminal DT just they has only just cracked the code, I agree on the iPhone four, hands down a better phone than that brick the S3. They might as well go the whole hog and bring the briefcase phone back
As a Apple user for over 20 years I can say their products are still light years ahead ... I agree that as a corporation they are acting like real cnuts at times but generally their kit works. In my studio we have 12 mac pros now and I know hand on heart that they will never fail or it will be a rarity. I have a couple of high brow PC's these already are causing problems. The windows system is getting better no doubt but sorry still along way away from even competing. There isn't even an argument in fact as a professional tool there isn't anything that match them. Use whatever device you feel happy with is my motto
For my daughters mobile I just did a free hardware upgrade to iPhone 4s (actually with 3 mths free service ($150 value) + $50 Shopping Channel gift certicate (my wife liked this) + free protective case ($25). I recently received an email indicating I can upgrade this phone to IOS 5. Just wondering if she should do this? Did you know that iPhone 4 users can now download the new iPhone operating system (iOS5) and start using all the latest features? My other daughter did the same upgrade, same discounts, but chose the android Samsung Galaxy SIII, They share an apartment away at university so can compare notes on their respective phones.
Apple only ship phones with IOS 6 Pre loaded (well since October last year) so I'm surprised to hear its still running the old IOS. I'd update it to 6.0.1
Ive got a surround sound system and nexus 10 (an ipad beater) is made by samsung. Ive got an LG monitor, HTC phone, Sony TVs, Philips surround system, Humax PVR, Shure earphones. I think its stupid to be a fanboi of one company and religiously buy something, I just buy the best thing for me.
