Surprised there hasn't been a thread on this yet. First of all, good performance today. I think we all agree it is job done after beating a tough Oldham side away. We have drawn Everton at home in the next round, a repeat of last years semi final. I really believe we have the desire and passion to win it this year! Come on you reds! YNWA
****ing hell we may as well not even turn up at Anfield. Congratulations on making the quarter finals ffs
Don't forget MOTM Joe Cole, who came back from West Ham to score a last gasp winner! Hopefully him and Downing will link up well against Everton.
I know it was just a league 1 side but we were on fire today, think after today's performance lot of the younger lads should have been given a huge confidence boost too. On to 5th round!
I enjoyed how Rodgers recognized a weakness in our side and immediately fixed it, once we got the 3 mids in we were on fire as Sir Red pointed out! Well done by Suso in his No. 10 role as well today.
We played alright to get such a emphatic victory but if we had passed a little quicker with more one or two touch passing I reckon we could have got at least one more goal to get that record breaking 18-0 PS...Gerrard was ****, AGAIN
Has anybody yet thanked Oldham for providing those extra large cooling fans and the water misters to offset the burning heat?
I think we should extend some praise to the ball boys on the pitch today, they were great in my opinion. They collected the ball promptly and returned it with gusto. Also it's nice to see Sterling out muscle some opponents for a change!
I liked the way John and Tom were there with sketchpads and pencils and never realised they were so artistic. Lovely sketches of the Oldham ground I am looking forward more than ever to our redevelopment
Triumph for total-football yesterday, glad we managed to get a grip with Oldham's free flowing, graceful football.
