West Brom striker Odemwingie, 31, slapped in a transfer request on Friday. The Baggies have rejected a £2million bid from QPR for the Nigerian forward. But Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is due to return with a cheque for £3m. Odemwingie is insisting Albion accept the offer, although he has 18 months left on his deal worth £40,000 a week at the Hawthorns. Rangers are willing to give him slightly improved terms plus a lucrative survival bonus if they beat the drop.
