Haha, someone asked us this same q on twitter. Nothing to do with his characteristics, just a family nickname (very close with his gramps growing up).

Hitman for hire: Egypt striker Amr Zaki has terminated his contract with Turkish side Elaziğspor, after less than five months with the club.

Will the State of Emergency that's come into force have any impact on business with Egypt this week? I know it's not directly effecting Cairo, but not sure if there will be a knock-on effect.

Troubling scenes coming out of Egypt this weekend.

How do work permits work? Ie: Is there any chance of us pushing this through late and then finding that we've wasted our time because we couldn't get a work permit in time?

Don't know how permits work, but it never seems to affect any major clubs, they seem to be able to push through permits quickly. I think the registration of the player is the most important thing, then the permit can be sorted afterwards. Just going off memory from a few deadline day deals that have happened over the years, can't remember any names though.

Being an Egyptian national team player you'd think he'd be easy to get a permit for, but Bruce mentioned the difficulty of getting a work permit for an Egyptian as a reason that we're miles off bringing one in so there must be some complication he's aware of.

Regardless, I'm sure it won't happen.
