Since the introduction of sky sports and the wealthiest been guaranteeed to win everything every single year. The rich get richer syndrome that has saw football become a representation for the country as a whole plus the endless stoppages and outlawing of tackling/ do you know of anyone who used to watch football but now just doesn't give a fck. A friend of mine said that to me the other day 'I don't give a fck about football anymore'. I think he has a point.
Mate footie is my life , I hate the greed in the game just look at odewinge last night after west brom get him out of Russia were he hated it saggie chops comes along and bang he's on twitter taking the pi£s he should be ashamed . There is to much money in the game and clubs looking to bleed fans dry but....I could never turn my back on footie but I will say I don't care about watching England anymore safc is all that matters to me
I've had a few elder customers say similar, used to be a fanatic but its not what is was anymore, pre-maddonas, rolling around like they've been shot, exploiting their wealth and fame, that sort of thing
I watch as much English footy as I can. Just love it. From my point of view I am delighted. Some of the Spanish & Italian footy is OK but not keen on the french, German or Dutch games.
It is a fair and obvious point, Sky and very wealthy owners have changed the outcome of games. It is simple the club that pays the most money in terms of sign on fees and wages tend to win everything. Sunderlands' season is about staying in the EPL, hoping for a couple of good cup runs and the two games against the mags. Despite this I am still bonkers about football, would be put of going if the season ticket price became exorbitant!
my father is one. played football all his young life. would go to sunderland, boro, or the mags to watch a game. now doesnt give two f??ks

I love the game BUT I hate how it has become. I have come close to walking away from it all but somehow I am lured back in.
I can see where you are coming from with this, as I don't like the way the game has gon in the past 20 years or so...However, SAFC is in my blood, and I coiuld never walk away from them..
I just see it as evolution. It will be interesting to see what FIFA fail play does though... if anything.
