We would have to play the worst we have ever played just to give them a chance. I cant see any of the lads who are picked not up for this game.....If it was a normal cup game at their place then yes we could have an off day but not at wembley sure to god....there will be to much at stake. I fear the matches before wembley that we may lose if they dont put wembley at the back of their minds and focus on the league...at wembley we will be too good for a 4th tier team.....It would be the biggest cup upset in the history of football and i cant see that...

I agree with Dai on this one (ok I haven't taken my medication today yet) while we can't take Bradford for granted as they fully deserve to be in the final, I think that coming up against us at Wembley is totally different to what they've faced so far.
It's easy to say they've already beaten 3 premier league teams, but they had a Wigan side struggling in the league and probably more focused on that, an under pressure Arsenal who possibly took them for granted and an under pressure Villa who also took them for granted over both legs.
I really don't think Sir Mike will allow us to take anything for granted, and we're not under any pressure to win as our achievment of getting to the final is pretty impressive too.
So I think we'll see a relaxed Swansea with the freedom to play our game, which is something Bradford probably haven't come up against yet.
    4-2 Swans ;)

Yeah Dill, they're deadly with their set pieces and despite our current defensive steel I still get nervous with a corner or free kick floating in...
and besides, as I've said on another thread 4-2 is a good score for us in the big games ;)

Dai, if you're taking in a show can I recommend one that will remind you of Cardiff City, Les Miserables :D:D

They will be when we win the cup that for sure

SA9, in all honesty I can't see them getting the ball let alone score. It's ours to lose no doubt about it

The mrs asked why I'm going with the boys and not taking her. I had an easy come back though - why didn't she take me with her last week when she went to stay in Joe Allen's house for the weekend with a couple of her girl friends?
    She had no reply :D

I hope you're right Dill, but they haven't found it too difficult to score in the competition so far.
We'll score the first 4 and then we'll gift them 2 late consolations

If they can beat Arsenal and beat Villa over 2 legs, they can beat you.

Be gracious and don't count you're chickens....

I remember all the Red's going on about how we'd already won the Cup last Feb as it was "just Cardiff" and their ****e!

We all know what happened then.....#

Some humility always goes down well.

The only pressure will be that people love an UnderDog story, so as they said on the Footy Weekly Podcast, everyone will want bradford to win besides Swans fans, like last season everyone wanted Cardiff to beat LFC for the same reasons. That can create pressure on the team that they'll need to overcome

How can you compare this final with that of last year in which the were 2 **** sides? You sound like Chelsea with their bitterness at being knocked out <doh>
Apart from the Chelsea games, we've certainly had an easier route to the final than Bradford, so they won't be taken for granted, but what's wrong with a bit of positivity from us going in to the final?
Just because it bit you on the arse as you still think you're the all conquering mighty Liverpool of 30 years ago and thought you had the divine right to beat cardiff, it doesn't mean we can't be positive about beating Bradford.
    Tool <doh>

Cheers for the warning, but we have nothing to fear but fear itself. I would hope that a squad of professionally tuned athletes could get up for such a game regardless of opposition. Likewise the fans of each club should feel confident also.

The media spotlight will be mainly on Bradford creating extra pressure on them over the next month. Their players will have distractions they have never come across before. We can concentrate on our own game.

Not just that but the pitch is miles bigger than at Bradford. They'll struggle to cope with the size of the pitch and will tire much earlier than they usually would. Plus with a bigger pitch it means their defence will be stretched much more and Swansea will get plenty of overlaps as Bradford, and most lower league teams, tend to defend very narrowly against bigger teams.

I hope Bradford DO pull off an upset, no offence (always support the underdog when Liverpool aren't involved), but I just can't see it happening. Bigger pitch than they're used to plus Swansea having quality wingers and full backs to expose the space they'll give you in the wide areas.

*awaits inevitable ban for some obscure reason*

most fans will be hoping for a Bradford win because they are a 4th division club and if we were playing on their own pitch then they have a good chance. just look at all the big teams who have gone out to smaller clubs and that is not due to them being better its due to the crap pitches which is a leveler, some of those pitches yesterday and today had not been tended too after the last match and there is no way we would be able to play our normal game on that. At Wembley we know the pitch will be perfect and that does favor the better sides and as we are the premiership side then i cant see any further than a comfortable win for the swans....
