Five days to go in the window and we're still scratching about looking for players who don't want to come here. Maybe we should take a punt on some Championship players who might just have the hunger to prove themselves.

One player who has really impressed me is the Watford striker Matej Vydra, he was brilliant when I watched their match at Brighton and he is scoring for fun at the moment. To be honest I don't think Watford would let him go as I think they are nailed on to go up this season, but that's the type of player we should have been looking at from day one after we were promoted...

I just posted this on another thread. It is appropriate here:

"Everyone is looking at who we are getting in (only four days left), but it strikes me that it is more worrying that we haven't got rid of anyone. What we saw yesterday was that we have a lot of players that are just not good enough. Many of them on massive wages. I am worried that we are getting stuck with a lot of pony."

Rhodes,Eagles,Austin are the players we should have gone for. The talented, experienced,NPC players. We need one eye on going down as well as trying to survive.

According to the Fulham Chronicle, we are after four players this week with a centreback as the highest priority...

Exactly .............. Surely there are couple of up and coming 'backs' from the championship who aren't burden with a big ego that want to upgrade themselves?

Problem is it's the Norwichs, Readings and Southamptons who spot and sign those types of players, we end up looking for overpaid has-beens and pay the price. How long was Le Fondre banging in the goals in the lower leagues?...

I agree we need a centre back but remember if we don't get anyone in
Then we go with what we have
    You can't warp this
First everyone was amazed we got Hughes then the players we signed
Then it was Hughes fault as well as slagging nearly every player we have
Then Hughes went and now slowely you turn on the players
After witnessing the **** in G Block yesterday I am livid with what seems the complete lack of understanding we have attracted . Harold is playing a clever game here as it will never be his fault and his kudos will remain untouched watch it happen
We have the players the **** about overpaid lazy etc is in your heads
    We have signed Remy FFS
    Take a deep breath
And you know what if he fluffs his lines I could see G Block at least booing him
What has happened to QPR fans ?
    It was never like this
I warned of this and just imagine a new ground with double that

Harold wants to strength and anyone who knows a little about football knows we have a squad strong enough for this division yet people call them turkeys etc

    ****ing clueless

We have attracted class players to the club and you can't compare them to Norwich etc it just seems that they are doing better as a team because of results We are unbeaten in the league for 5 that is form focus on that

We play the champions next a very very good side I can see the fans turning soon if we lose ... Muppets

We can't go on playing 9 man defensive every game against top sides and expect to snatch a point here and there when it's wins we need. With Nelsen going our defensive lynchpin is removed and who will replace him?

We can hardly string three passes together and you're saying we have the players, you're BONKERS...

Sorry can't agree with that. The 3 teams you mention are all in the relegation fight and Reading have/are still favs to go down. It does not always pay to go lower leagues. Sometimes you pay for what you get.

You cant compare Adel to Le Ratnose because one is a top player and one has had a bit of luck of late.
DJ was scoring for fun in the Championship but cant in the Prem with us. In the NW days it proved that a lot of the lower player couldn't cut it week in/out in the Prem.

The Problem is with us is that we have skilled players who just don't want to fight whereas at some of the clubs you mentioned they are up for it.
I am not saying that some lower players can't cut it but i don't want my team full off Champ/lge1 players in the Prem.

There is only one clueless muppet on here, by the way your spelling has been atrocious in your recent posts. Turn the spell check on muppet. Our squad is strong enough I thought you were at the game yesterday, probably taking more interest in the 'bile' being shouted in G-block as opposed to watching the 'bile' being played on the pitch. Get back into self-exile you tool.

The big difference is they aren't bankrupting themselves if they do go down and they still have the basis of a team that will be highly competitive in the Championship if they do. We are deluding ourselves if we think that if we go down we'll come straight back up...

Watford is a feeder club now for some Italian outfit I forget which and they have put vydra there for match experience no way they're going to sell him

Adam Le fondue was at Rotherham bangin em in for years. Same as Craig Davies was at chesterfield when Bolton snapped him up.

It's not some hidden secret. Rhodes has been doing the business for ages but no one wanted to take the risk

My mates 17 year old lad diego de girolamo has signed for the blades was on the bench yesterday against reading. Great young striker. They are all out there but at prem level we focus on the overseas signings

This week is so important off the field, by Friday we may well be able to predict accurately relegation or survival

There is a clear difference I know my football and I know my club. Seriously make a decent point about football not grammar that would be a challenge.
Use the ignore feature if you are upset it's that easy and yet you read anyway

I am proud of being able to type to my sub standard given my upbringing.
I come and go as I please

If you wish ever to take me on regarding a comment may I suggest control please anyway maybe it's you who has the problem?

So why exactly do you think you know so much about football and the rest on here so little? There are some good posters on here who are level headed and are objective with their opinions, you however, have no conceivable ability to understand that other people may have a different a opinion to you and what you say is the be all and end all and the rest of us are 'clueless muppets'. Answer me this, yesterday when you were listening to all that bile from G-Block did you turn around and call those perpetrators 'clueless muppets' or did you wait until you got home to become the keyboard warrior and let those on here have your anger, safe behind your monitor in your comfy chair?. I look forward to your posts because you make me laugh with your pseudo-intellectual bollox.

    1. you don't know our finances or theirs to make that comment? We have seriously rich backers who don't seem too bothered about getting in £8m players, however if you think something is sinister about it you need to talk to others.
    2. You don't know the other teams that are going down will be any better equipt to be competitive in the Championship (funny i heard Wolves/Blackburn/Bolton fans thinking they would come straight up again)?
    3. We are not down yet and until we are i won't be 'deluding myself' about 'if's' and 'what if's'. <ok>

It's not reasonable to ask HR to build two new teams at the same time. The choice was to accept our fate and start building for the Championship or to go **** or bust on staying up. The board chose the latter with HR's encouragement. We can only pray they got it right at this stage.

    1. You don't have to be an accountant to work out that paying £60k+ wages on 18,000 gates is going to produce a huge deficit. Under FFP regulations that will produce massive financial penalties. If TF et al are pumping money into this black hole - fine. If they are not it will stay on the balance sheet and if they leave we are f*cked. I would rather see my club run prudently and go down with players showing commitment than what we saw yesterday and many times earlier this season.

    2. I'm not saying they are going to come straight back up. I am saying they play more as a team, they have not been cobbled together from a load of has-beens and they have the foundations to make a good fist of getting back first-time. Yesterday showed how seriously poor our 'footballing' teamwork is.

    3. We are not down but the odds on us surviving are seriously against us. We have played several of our relegation rivals at home without a win so we don't have any easy games and we have a tough last four games with Liverpool away on the last day. Some on here think we will bounce back up if we go down, I really can't see it with the players on show yesterday...
