I have created this thread for people to make all the suggestions for a new goalkeeper, I think in my mind we should bring in 1 experienced one and one young one as a third choice and have young Hawkes as sub.

Do you think Hilario (sic) Gomez might find his level in L2?

Gomes, LOL, I think he is out of the price range that we have to spend on a player.

Dunno. Why the bloke's still in a job I don't know. If he's got a video CV there'd have to some judicious editing before he'd interest any top class club. He even makes Bruce Grobbelaar look like a safe pair of hands.

Yeah I think he was great when I saw him in League 1 in 2009.

Plymouth are fast plummeting down the divisions...

Perhaps it's time to prize Roman Larrieu from their grasp?

Saw Fon Williams many times for Rochdale since they signed him in January and he really did brilliantly. I was amazed that Rochdale didn't offer him a contract.

However I've since learned there is a reason for everything. 'Nuff said.

    It's a shame.

From virtually everything I've seen he's a very good goalkeeper and kept Dale in many matches they would otherwise have lost. Good reactions, strong hands and mostly stayed where goalkeepers are needed, i.e. in the 6 yard area. And that wasn't just my opinion. He was significantly better than Josh Lillis who they had on loan from Scunthorpe for the first half of the season.

But they didn't offer him a contract. So, thinking caps on and make a list of (sensible) reasons as to why you think that might have been. Being Welsh is not a sensible reason. But you might as well stop once you've got 3 because you've almost certainly got it in the list.

Sorry but can't say more than that.

    Whoaaa

Talk about sensitive language software when you can't even type in the name of a North Licolnshire team without it getting asterisked.

Those are the software's asterisks, not mine.

Must go onto their board to see what happens there

Amusing news about the Scunthorpe censorship!

Sounds like Fon has been a bad boy (in some, unrevealed way)
