Team News
Will post as soon as there is some.

Past meetings
We have not played them since 1999 and we won 3-1 last time, they have not won at Priestfield since 1996
15 Feb 1997 York City v Gillingham W 2-3 League Division 2
30 Aug 1997 York City v Gillingham L 2-1 League Division 2
17 Jan 1998 Gillingham v York City D 0-0 League Division 2
15 Aug 1998 York City v Gillingham D 1-1 League Division 2
16 Jan 1999 Gillingham v York City W 3-1 League Division 2
That was a long time ago but I am hoping for a scoreline which is similar to the home win in 1999.

Current league table
As of 24.01.13 Gillingham sit second in League 2 on 51 points after 26 games but they have a game in hand over Port Vale who are top on 52 points but have played 27 games.
York City have had a mixed season and sit 15th after 28 games with 36 points, they are 6 points off the play offs however there are other teams around them who have played less games.

HOADIE’S View on this match
This should be a good game if we get the signings which are being talked about, I can't fully judge this game yet because of no confirmed news so when there is more I will change this but at current with No Cody or Wright I will go for 3-0 to the Gills.

The score line and scorers
The scoreline will be Gillingham 3-0 York City but scorers will be confirmed later.

I would say the team before any signings made is this.

Nelson

Fish
Legge
Barrett
Martin

Whelpdale
Payne
Lee
Weston

Kedwell
Birchall

However we know that Payne may be gone and Cody could be in the team as well as Wright so that will change a bit once things are confirmed but as things stand with no signings this would be the team.

I think they will be in but I am just posting the team as current, I think the team would be something like what you posted. I just hope Frampton ain't playing in midfield because if Wright is back then he should be there in holding and then you need someone who is more attacking like Lee or Allen or Jackman.

Now Wright has done the number on us I see us lining up -

Nelson

Legge
Barrett
Martin

Whelpdale
Gregory
Mad Puppy
Weston

Kedwell
Cody

Will not happen but that's my selection.

I think you are close however I think the team will be one different to what you have put I think it will probably be Burton instead of McDonald.

Just seen Aidy Boothroyd was wondering why he was here and then remembered he is the manager of Northampton. He was walking along redfern with a few others who I did not recognise.

Muggleton is a left back not a keeper as that is where he plays for the youth team unless he plays 2 positions because I thought MA said he is a keeper aswell so this is confusing.

A goal down already! When was the last time we scored the opening goal at home? Hopefully we can gain at least a point from this game.

We have been poor no appetite for it from the gills own goal by lee I think and he nearly put another one in our net. Too much long ball and whelpdale has been poor with the rest of midfield. Out of order that some were cheering when Frampton went off as he was not that bad.
