    In that case, my second vote goes to Harold Shipman for his pioneering work in reducing the burden on both the NHS and the pension industry.

    Shipman was statistically the best. If you want to go old school then you can't look any further than Jack the Ripper. The Yorkshire one was pretty good though. As for the Washington Sniper, he was a mass murderer, not a serial killer.

    Cheeky ****! When you think about it, although he killed hundreds, how many human years did he actually steal? He might have killed 250 people, but how many years left did each one have? 5 tops?

    Brilliant, that's ok, it's justified to murder people as long as they're old? What you guys seem to fail to realise is that many of these names being touted about targeted and killed random people who where in the wrong place at the wrong time! It could just of easily been you or maybe a close friend or relative of yours, and was it, I daresay this attention seeking topic would never of been started.
